If you've had success with weight loss, what motivates you to avoid snacking or overeating? In February, I was so strict with my diet (1200-1400 calories a day) and I exercised like crazy, and my weight stayed exactly the same. It was so frustrating! So now I find myself snacking all the time....I figure there's no point in being strict because I won't lose weight anyway. I was taking Zoloft for PPD, and I wonder if that's why my metabolism has slowed down so much. I quit taking it 3 days ago.
I am taking a line of vitamins called Advocare. It REALLY helps with my snacking and cravings. I have a ton more energy and just feel better overall. I am a distributor so if you want more info on any of the products, let me know. The website is Advocare - We Build Champions
my motivation at the moment is bathing suit weather LOL seriously all I have to do is think about putting on a bathing suit and my craving goes away we are going to the beach in June, we are meeting up with a ton of people that DH went to college with, I want to look good while basking on the beach, yep I am that vain
OMG I was on Zoloft after have my oldest (who is now 4 almost 5) and I remember distinctly feeling like I was stuck at the weight I was, and I was wondering why NOTHING was working! As soon as they took me off Zoloft (probably about 2 weeks later) if seemed like the weight just started dropping off with the SAME effort I was putting in weeks before while I was on the medicine. It was a miracle. The only downside of coming off Zoloft (or starting in the first place I guess) is that life was BUT A DREAM and AMAZING when I was on it, but I haven't been that happy ever since. I kinda had to build a new happy, but at least I was losing weight and not dependent on the medicine anymore! If you want to talk about it more or have any questions about my personal struggle just PM me and I can answer them from experience (but I know everyone's experience is different)!
Mine is reminding myself of what I looked like BEFORE I got pregnant and how long and hard it took me to get there (I was overweight for most of my life). I use myfitnesspal.com and it helps a LOT. I dont restrict myself, I just am more accountable for what I eat and I have lost 13.5 lbs in 90ish days, so not super fast but moderate.
