I have met and exceeded my goal and I just keep making a new one. Dh and my mom say that I have lost too much weight (although I am not really "trying" to lose anymore, I just eat right & go to the gym 3 times a week), however I still feel like I could lose a few pounds. I guess it's not so much the numbers on the scale, I feel I need to tone up a bit more. I still have som belly flab I want to bid goodbye to.
I guess what I am asking is how much is too much? How do you stop?
I think if you are being healthy, eating right and exercising your weight will level itself out when your body is where it should be. If you are restricting food or over exercising and continue to lose weight that probably isn't healthy. For me I am happy with my weight, I work out to tone at this point. Once I get below a certain weight I start to look unhealthy and I don't want that. So I guess I feel so long as you are eating a balanced diet and working out within a normal range (not excessive) your body will know when to stop losing weight. that is my theory anyway LOL
I understand what you mean. When I started really loosing weight I always told myself if I got down to ___ pounds I would be happy, but now I have reached that and I am still trying to loose more. Now I am saying I'll be happy when I get down to my BMI that is suggested for me (8 pounds away, I am at a healthy BMI, but the stupid Wii thinks differently). I agree with Kim. If you are eating healthy and working out it is fine. If you are starving yourself and over exercising to reach your goal then that might be a problem.
Thanks ladies. I definately don't starve myself, I love food too much. Dh thinks I need to stop going to the gym but I only go 3 days a week for about and hour each day and I need the gym for toning. I am still in my normal weight range although I am only a few pounds from my underweight mark. My doctor hasn't said anything and I was just there yesterday for an ear infection () so I am assuming it is alright. Who would've thought that I would have an issue with loosing too much? I usually have a hard time losing my baby weight.... this time it is literally falling off.
I am really pleased with the topic here regarding weight lose. This is one of my problem though, after giving birth to my first child It's hard for me to lose weight since I'm craving some nice foods like steak, desserts and chocolates especially after doing some exercised, love to eat. Is there any suggestions that might help to lose weight? Thank you.
