Nothing as interesting as you guys, lemme see...

I LOVE photography!!!! Ever since I can remember I would always take photos of anything and everything! Now im regretting not having gone to college right after high school and making it my career, my dream job! But I also always said I wanted to be an OB cause everything pregnancy related always fascinated me...yes 2 pretty different things but both so interesting to me.

Im a perfectionist, if its not perfect, according to me anyways, then I dont like it.

Im a very shy person, Ive always been too shy to be the center of attention, I could never stand up in front of a crowd for nothing, I would probably freak!

Im the shortest person I know as an adult. Ive stood next to plenty of 4-5th graders and its so disturbing seeing they're taller then me. Im pretty self conscious about my height, I hate it, I just cant come to terms with it, it really bothers me. So much so that I heard there was a type of surgery or some sort of procedure that makes people taller and I immediately wished I could have it done.

I was so scared of driving on the highway that my first time on it was probably about a year ago and Ive been knowing how to drive for years now! And it still makes me nervous! Im also scared of elevators, airplanes, boats, trains!

I was in marching band in the falls of 2002 and 2003, and basketball band 03-04 and 04-05. I was on campus last week for my nephew's baptism in the Log Chapel, and one of my brothers graduated on Sunday. Two other of my brothers have worked for Notre Dame, one in Development and one for the Alumni Association. That's cool that your brother works in the athletic department! Has he been there long? Have you been to campus much?

My really good friend is obsessed with little people. We went to midget wrestling and I have never laughed so hard in my life. We ran into a midget porn star at happy hour the other day, and she nearly lost it.lol

I grew up in South Louisiana, my parents were always out of the country so I actually had a Mamie, I loved her more than anything and it rocked my world when she died. My parents are basically strangers to my brother and I . I see each of them , maybe once a year.

I found out I had a brother my dad and his previous girlfriend gave up for adoption when they were teenagers. We were actually at the same hospital, he is a surgeon and I was in residency for the same specialty, we knew each other, every one said how alike we looked. So we had dna tests and confronted my dad. I am glad we found each other.

My ex-hubby and I had a foster child we were going to adopt and then the military moved us and it fell through. I still always kept up with him, visited him, and he now goes to UT and comes for dinner several times a week and hangs out on the weekends.

SO is the one I should have married, I have known him most of my life, we lost touch for a long time, and then ran in to each other at a Land Rover event a few years ago.

My best friend in the world is a defensive end for the Vikings and my oldest son teases him that we knew him before he was cool and threatens to bust out embarrassing photos to send to sports stations.

I was going to ask you about this in the TX meet up thread. I have a friend who's husband plays for the Steelers.

So, who thinks Marti is reading the responses to this thread, shaking her head and wondering how such a simple fun little get to know you took on a life of its own?

I feel like I don't have anything nearly as interesting as the rest of you ladies. I didn't know we were such an exciting group!

1. I don't like most dressings/sauces. I won't eat salad dressing, mayo, mustard, gravy, steak sauce, etc. One time DH tricked me into taking a bite of something that had mayo on it, and I just about died.
2. I've never had a cavity.
3. I never leave the house without lotion and chapstick. One time I realized on the way to church that I had neither and made DH stop at Walgreen's to get some.
4. DH and I were engaged for 7 months. I had quite a few people ask me if I was pregnant (Yes, I'd like to be 7 or 8 months pregnant at my wedding! I would have been HUGE).
5. I went to an all women college, and it was one of the best things for me!

Arnaz Battle. She and I play on the same women's soccer team (when we are both not pregnant).

Very cool. I have known Jared since college. My cousin and he were roommates and that's how we became friends eons ago. Then when he went pro, he first played for Kansas City and I happened to live there at that point in time. He used to spend ridiculous amounts of time at our home, and after my divorce the kids and I moved into his house before we moved back to Texas. We finally got him married off last August, hehe, so we see a little bit less of him.

I am kinda late on this thread but here it is

I really wanted to have a career in the medical field before I attempted to study music.

I went to school where DH's sister bullied me for 2 years until she graduated. Haha I got the last laugh by becoming her SIL.

I am OCD about my house being clean and I have become addicted to the bi-weekly cleaning that I pay to have done.... And my DH has become addicted to the service too.

I never thought I would pray about and start to teach my son how to tell me "no". Apparently protesting is very important for language development.

The relationship I was involved in before I started dating DH was with two women...I was the third party. There was only a 4 month gap between the relationships.

This is a fun thread! I love reading all your responses. I wish I had cool stuff to say, I need a life lol.

1) I have an autoimmune disorder but don't know which one because I can't afford to go see specialists. I struggle with fatigue and joint pain and have a stomach ache almost every day. But it's not so bad that I can't live a good quality life

2) My husband and I moved accross the country together after being together for only 4 months, were pregnant at 11 months, and married at 14 months into the relationship.

3) I am moving to Houston as soon as we get enough money saved up (no later than March) and I can't wait!!! I feel like I am a true Texan at heart and have always wanted to live there. I do not fit in here in MI.

4) I am considering homeschooling for various reasons but don't know if I want to be home with my kids all day every day lol.

5) I really don't know what to do professionally. I have 2 years of school left to get a teaching degree, I have a medical secretary degree, but I just can't decide what to do. I like teaching but the public school system is so messed up I get so frustrated. I want to work with kids but I have to figure out in what way.

1. All my life I believed I would never get married. Then I met DH on a blind date and within 8 months we were engaged.

2. I think spiders are fascinating! I used to be terrified of them, so I started reading about them, and now I just think they're so cool. I've kept three different black widows as "pets" (though I wouldn't do so now, with baby).

3. I'm a fiction writer. The first story I ever published got a mention in Best American Short Stories 2010.

4. For 5 years during and after college, I dated a guy who called himself Mr. Wonderful. I still call him that... ironically, of course.

5. I accidentally took a train through Serbia in 1997 (with Mr. Wonderful no less. I blame him.) We were gassed in our train compartment and robbed while unconscious. Woke up in Budapest.

Mrs. B, did you see the NYTimes magazine article on conjoined twins??? So interesting!

Okay, about me...
1. I have a law degree, but I no longer practice law (although I do work in a related field).

2. I did catalog modeling as a child.

3. I wish I worked in the medical field. I still consider going to nursing school.

4. I have a very strong food IQ. I invent recipes in my head, and I'm good at changing recipes to make them better. I can taste things in my mind as I think them up.

5. I hate the feel and sound of styrofoam and plastic silverware. When styrofoam rubs up against other styrofoam, the sound makes every hair on my body stand on end.

DH is the same way about styrofoam. When we were unpacking all of our nursery furniture he was freaking out.

1. I am 100% Greek

2. I asked my husband to my Junior prom when he was a Sophomore. We've been together ever since

3. I played the snare drum in Marching Band in high school

4. I have a Chocolate lab named Louka and she is AWESOME!

5. I have a red 2005 Mustang - I've always wanted one
