How much do you play with / entertain your LO? It seems like I've been getting more lazy about this lately. He likes to play in his exersaucer & roll around in the floor. But always squirms when I am holding him so I don't really hold him as much as I used to. Its weird because it seems like he is more lovey lately & wants to kiss and stuff, but more independent too if that makes sense.
LOL i think i overstimulate my kid since 1.5hrs of being up she's like put me down to bed! LOL what a wuss!!! jk... but that's cause i'm home, got nothing better to do because i make my hubby to most of the crap except for like laundry and kitchen but he does help me clean! and well especially since she's my only kid so far! i feel bad for my next one! LOL
some days though like when hubby was on vacay he did this while i ran around getting things for the baptism and vice versa. but we always try to give her as much play time as we can... i hope i can work something out for the next one!
I play with him quite a bit and I am always talking to Christian while I am doing things around the house. Now since the biggies are out of school, he prefers playing with them much more! He is also an independent little kiddo and likes to be on his own too.
I don't hold Riley as much as I used to, because he just wiggles away unless he really wants to be held. We rotate between the play gym, Bumbo, exersaucer and just some toys on the floor. I do spend some time with him reading books or "teaching" him to sit-up. On the other hand though, I think it's important for him to learn to play on his own and not need constant entertainment from Mom. Otherwise, how will I ever get anything done around the house?
She still wants me to hold her all the time! So if I'm not playing and talking to her while she's in her swing or on the floor, then I have to be holding her or she cries. So either way it goes I can never get anything done. She does love playing with josiah too at least.
Boston is THEEEE biggest mama's boy I have ever seen. I need to play with him or at least be talking to him all.day.long or he cries and gets pissy.
He's completely opposite of Jackson who has always been AMAZING at keeping himself occupied!
When Bos starts crawling, things will get much easier around here...I'm sure he'll just be pulling at my leg all the time then though lol!
The girls don't seem as interested in playing with me as they used to. lol. They do love to interact with each other though. They are also like Knox right now... they want to be on their own playing but still really kissy and snuggly. I think now is the time that they start getting more independent.
Katie is very cuddly and wants to be held, talked to, etc. She likes to be able to see me. She LOVES her big brother though and will take him if she has to. I have him talk to her/play with her if I need a break (or would like to go to the bathroom in relative peace).
AJ (age 7) & Katie (age 2.5) PM to see if I am available to make a siggy - decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
I love playing with my LO! We start our morning at about 530 with playtime while i'm getting ready for work. Tickle time... just being goofy and rolling around... then when I drop him off at daycare I try to spend some more time with him on the playmat before I leave for work then on the nights that i'm home with him (2x a week my DH has him alone since i'm working my horse) I get to play with him and put him to sleep which i LOVE!! Saturday mornings are the best... lots of play time!
