It was cute, I loved it. However, I didn't buy it. I saw what I looked like in the mirror.
Now, DH love my curves, so I've not been trying to lose any weight at all. After what I saw, nope, those curves have to go!
I hope no one takes this as offensive, but I am terrified of ending up like anyone on my mothers side of the family. All obese! My mom is 2 inches shorter than me and is roughly 250. Amazing diabetes doesn't run on that side of my family! I'm the smallest and have the sugar and dietary issues!
Anyway, what I can do for work outs? I'm not allowed to do any thing high impact because of my leg. Squats and lunges are out too! Will walking, yoga, and eating healthier help some?
There is nothing wrong with wanting to live a healthier lifestyle!
If high impact is out for you, I would try swimming or biking. Swimming is great on the joints and will burn calories like nobody's business. Walking is always good (and free) but you obviously have to do more of it to burn a substantial amount of calories.
I have always been told and read that you need to keep your heart at the target zone for at least 30 minutes. Anything longer than 30 minutes you will burn those "extra" calories. As far as food, what goes in, needs to be burned off. Loseit.com is a great website that will calculate your daily caloric intake based on your weight loss goals. I used it religiously for about 6 months until I hit my target weight. I know there are still some of our JM Sept moms still on there.
