Do you snack during the day? What are your go-to snacks?

I usually get REALLY hungry about 3:00 in the afternoon, and if I don't have a plan, I'll end up eating whatever I see when I get home from work (my favorite thing being chips). I need to stock up on healthy snacks so that I don't stuff my face with chips or DH's snack cakes. Of course, there are the standards like fruit, veggies, etc. I'm looking for more ideas, especially things higher in protein, and preferably gluten-free. I would love something that I can keep in my bag/purse/car that I could maybe eat on the way home from work.

Since I'm doing the 17 day diet and we have to have 2 probiotics a day I usually snack on cottage cheese or yogurt.

My go to snack that is non-perishable is raw almonds. They are super filling! I buy them in individually packaged serving sizes to take the guess work out of it. Another thing I enjoy, although high in sodium, is beef jerky.

I wish I liked yogurt more. I do like yoplait whips, and I bought some of those. I've never tried Greek yogurt...what's it like?

I bought some 100 calorie packs of cocoa roast almonds...yum! They have a slight chocolatey taste. They are a new favorite. I also bought some regular packs of almonds, string cheese, and some fruits & veggies.

I wanted to find roasted edamame, but haven't been able to find any yet. I do also like the idea of beef jerky.

Low cal string cheese, fresh peach slices (got some great ones from Costco!!), beef jerky in the individual packs, popcorn in the 100 calories packs, bananas, popchips (again in individual packs or I don't do well with portion control), that's all I can think of right now.
