Hi ladies..I have stopped BF 8 days ago..at first I reduced the frequency to once a day then once in two days and then just stopped it..now after 8 days I am feeling I do have lots of milk..what should I do? Feed it? Express it? Or just let it dry by itself. Its not leaking or anything..I just feel heavy.
If you are not in pain just leave them be. You can try wearing a sports bra to bind them a little, but don't do anything crazy. You should only express milk if in pain, as it will just encourage your breasts to produce more milk. Take some Tylenol and hopefully the heaviness will go away soon. I know for me it only took a few days, but I was only able to breastfeed for a few weeks, so I am sure it will take a little longer for you. Good luck!
