OK, gotta get to this dieting thing. Iīve gained SIX lbs since March and I canīt get rid of them!

Thing is, I am a REALLY picky eater and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my carbs (hey, Iīm half italian, what do you want from me! )

Bought the 17 day diet and didnīt even try it... I canīt do that!

So... I was browsing yesterday for a diet I could stick to and though I am not 100% sold on the dieting thing, I just have to do something.

Has anyone heard or tried the Carblovers Diet?
Iīm going to buy the book today (got the iphone app already).
Any comments on it?

I haven't heard of it. I'll be curious to hear your comments on it, though!

I think it's basically counting calories, shrinking portions and filling you up with beans and stuff like that.
So far I only got a sampler I bought through iTunes but I'm picking up the book today.
I think I can do this!

And I did yoga for 2 days in a row (30 min each) so it seems I'm getting motivated.
In 2 days I've only lost 11oz which is next to nothing but it's only been 2 days.

`11OZ is pretty good, that's a little over half a pound and normal/healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week, so y ou're on track with that!

is it?
Yay!
hahaha

And Iīm keeping away from the beans for now. Itīs not that I donīt like them but they were never part of my regular diet so Iīm trying to stick to my regulars and see if I can change some habits.
I didnīt want a crazy diet that made me eat yoghurt and carrots all day because thatīs just not me. I know myself and that will maybe work for 3 days but then Iīll get hungry and "attack" whatever I can find.

When I was a teen and had an eating disorder, I lived by the Scarsdale Diet. Thatīs all I ate and even less than what was indicated but I canīt do that anymore nor will I ever want to go back to that.
I need to find balance and this one seems good for that.

If anyone is interested, I can share the menu for you.

The diet has a kickstart plan for 7 days and then you follow the other for 21 days. Then it's maintenance.
I'll post the menus tomorrow

As for Scarsdale, it's tough. You can do it 2 weeks then you need to move to the maintenance plan and then if you need to lose some more, you go back to the first but not more than 2 weeks at a time.
Here's a link:
