I need to buy a second car seat, to keep at daycare in case someone needs to pick Jamie up for me. We currently have the Safety 1st Complete Air 65 but no way is that in my budget for a second seat. Anyone have recommendations on a less expensive seat???

Yes a Cosco Scenera i believe its called, its about $40 dollars at WalMart or Target and a perfectly good seat, just kind of "bare bones"... not very padded, no cup holder etc. I think it rear faces to 35 or 40 lbs and i'm not sure what it forward faces up too. We have one as a backup for M

Okay so it does have a cup holder, lol... The ones at Walmart are 35lbs RF and then the ones at Target are 40lbs rear face if that matters to you

Target:Cosco Scenera 40RF Convertible Car Seat - Aberdeen...

Yep - I was going to recommend the same seat! We bought one to travel with and it is our "spare" seat.

If you care are RF as long as possible, make sure you get the 40lb one not the 35lb

Thanks, I will check when he brings it over. RF is VERY important to me although I'm a little more flexible with this one since it will only be used in emergencies if I can't get to the daycare in time. Of course my little peanut is so skinny (23 lbs at the ped this week - at 17 months) that he may be driving his own car before he reaches the weight limit. LOL!!!!

Lol true! For smaller kiddos you'll get to at least 2 RF in the seat probably (as long as its not outgrown by height) but for the larger ones you'de have to be careful
