DH and I decided that after the baby that we would start to eat better and exercise. I have been changing the way we eat this last week trying out new things to see if we like it and if the kids will eat it. So far everything has been a success with no complaints just lots of mmm's and more please.
Greek yogurt is higher in protein, lower in sugar and fat and higher in probiotics, or good bacteria that aid digestion. It has been processed less than standard varieties of yogurt and retains more of it's nutritional value.
Of course, as a vegan I am now an advocate of soy and almond yogurt
I heard the other day that it was actually not as good for you because it's so high in sugar... I don't really know though because I do not like yogurt
Flavored greek yogurt (or any yogurt for that matter) can be high in sugar. That's why you should buy plain and sweeten it yourself with added fruit, etc if you want The plain version is quite low in sugar compared to regular flavored yogurt.

The plain Greek yogurt is delicious with a little honey drizzled on top! Diana, if you liked the Greek yogurt try Racine's recipe for the chicken and wild rice cream soup on her blog. It was phenomenal!
I love Greek yogurt! I bring it to work for breakfast every day. I usually buy the plain or vanilla and add granola and some honey to it. It has zero fat and is so much more filling than regular yogurt.
