I am trying to think of all the words nattie says becasue her therapists are always asking me and I can never remember - lol. I know she says thank you, jump, hot, hi, hot dog, ball, book, cookie, cracker, french fry, mama, nattie, papa, puppy, Dancin, uhoh. She says baba but that is for anything she doesnt know the word for - like this morning her cereal was baba (so that doesnt count).

Wow. She sure saying a lot. Cam had a smaller vocabulary but in the last couple of days he has been my little parrot. This morning he was saying shapes with me. It's not much longer before his vocab gets bigger.

James has a few words. Mainly yeah and whoa. He says mama when he wants to touch a cell phone and dada when he wants milk. He does have a wide range of grunts to communicate though.

Levi says:
Dada
Momma
doggy
hi
Bye bye
uhoh
this
baba
ball

He will also repeat words after I say them but that doesn't count since he isn't saying those on his own.

These are Holly's "words" but some of them aren't said properly but we know what she is getting at, for example, she says "almmm" for almond...

Dada
Mama
Oscar (more like "aya")
shoes
cheese
almond
bag
batman (hilarious!)
dodo (sleep)
soussy (for her pacifier)
blueberry (more like "blublublu!!!!")
outside (more like 'side)
bye bye
kiss
baby
ball
balloon
end (when we finish a book)
all done
eye
nose
tongue
bum
uhoh
tada
brush (as in brushing teeth)

That's all I can think of for now and it's way more than I thought she had. It's really just explode in the last couple of weeks, I guess. Ds is was an early talker...i was kinda hoping she'd be the strong silent type

Gabriel has no words, just babbles. He can follow simple commands in Japanese (and sometimes in English), though, so at least he's comprehending.

Noelle says a ton of words. Her vocabulary has really grown in just the last few weeks. She's also quite the mimic, and we are finding that once we give her the word for something she will use it.

Some of the words she uses regularly are:
Mommy
Daddy
Te-ten (Stephen)
Nen-Na (Genna)
Gramma
yi-yal (for her Auntie Lyal)
goggy (Doggy, for larger dogs)
puppy (for smaller dogs)
bear (as in teddy bear)
milk
wa-wer (water)
Ella
baby
pease (please)
nank-ou (thank you)
cookie
nack (snack)
help
up
more
some
ninner (dinner)
belly
cakes (her blankie is called her cakeys)
cu-cake (cupcake, her favorite thing)
pretty

there are a ton more. She has been combining them into short sentences recently, too. My personal favorites are "Daddy peeeeease" for when she wants DH to get her something like a treat. She did this one the other day in the store and wound up with a new teddy bear. I also get a lot of "mommy more baby. more ella baby peeeeeeease" She loves to sit on my lap when I am checking facebook and loves looking at pictures of people. She seems to have a particular fondness for her like minded cupcake loving buddy, Ella.

I thought of two more I had forgotten about - she says banana (nana) and stuck. I need to be writing down new words as she uses them - lol. They just ask becasue (at least for here) she is considered speech delayed so they are trying to evaluate how fast she is catching up to where she should be.

There's more that i'm forgetting i'm sure. The thing with ella is that I can't usually get her to say them on command, she will only say them at her own will. makes videos for relatives hard. She's also starting to put some together slowly, and repeats 80% of what i say.

Interesting how the girls here seem to be saying a lot more than the boys! Is it a boy thing, or just a coincidence, I wonder?

Elliot doesn't say anything except hi, bye, thank you, uh oh and sometimes oh no. I was worried, but she understands what we are saying and follows commands. I think we just need to make her use words more.

Caleb has a dozen or so and the doctor thought that was plenty.

And I totally think it's a boy thing! At least thats the trend I notice--our friend's daughter is six weeks older than Caleb and can talk like nothing else, but she was a late crawler, walker etc...

Akadia just babbles - A LOT and she sings which I think is the cutest thing ever. She loves to sing along to all the songs on Tangled. She loves the sound of her voice, she just isn't putting the sounds together much yet. She pretty much only says Daddy, Momma and Uh-oh! My parents swear she says Buddy (their dog), but I'm not hearing it. She understands a lot though so hopefully the words will come soon. I can tell her to put her sock on her foot and she'll sit down and try for all she is worth to put her sock on her foot. And if I tell her to tickle daddy, she will run over and tickle his feet.
