It's been a crazy day here!
Took Kaija to preschool
Went to the post office
Went to the bank
Went to Lowe's to get a new light for the fan in my bedroom
Came home and discovered the light was not the right thing...
Looked online to see where I could get the right thing
Went to Home Depot since that's where Dr. Google told me to check, they didn't have it and were kind of unhelpful overall
Returned the fixture I did get to Lowe's
Picked Kaija up from preschool
Came home and had lunch
Went to Menard's to see if maybe they would have the right light fixture. They also didn't have it but the lovely WOMEN that work in their lighting department knew what would fix my problem since I was finally smart enough to take the broken part with me.
Came home and put Kolbie down for the nap she'd been needing for a couple of hours.
Fought with Kaija about napping, she needs one and won't go to sleep. But now she's going to fight with me about going to bed early because the deal was nap or early bedtime. She chose nap but she won't understand that she didn't actually nap...I'm already annoyed...
Replaced the $4 switch in the light fixture, reassembled everything, flipped the breaker and it worked! My room has light again!! Yay!!
Now I'm finally sitting longer than 5 minutes. Whew!
I woke up, got dressed (somewhat) and got the girls dressed
Fed everyone breakfast
Played in the playroom and cleaned upstairs
Sent Lily out with my parents
Fed Vi and myself lunch
Put Vi down for a nap
That's where I'm at now I need to finish cleaning some things, put some fall decorations out and then when DH gets off at 4, we need to go to the Honda dealership. We bought a minivan last night and we need to give them the cashier's check for it and pick it up.
I have actually had a slow day. This morning I fed the kids breakfast, took them to school, did my workout, cleaned my porch, and did a load of laundry. This afternoon I picked up my ds from school, made lunch, hid dh's game, hid notes for his scavenger hunt, made dh lunch, picked up my dd from school, and gave the kids snacks. My dh just got called into work to handle an issue, and wont be home until sometime later. The poor thing still hasn't been able to play his game. Lol. That means I get to make dinner, clean up after dinner, help with homework, give the kids baths, and get them in bed. I was really looking forward to relaxing tonight since one of dh's jobs is bath and bedtime routine for the kids, and he was going to take care of dinner. I should known better than to think the navy would allow me to have a night off. Lol.
Left to do:
Make dinner (spaghetti and meatballs, easy)
Running class if DH found a replacement sitter since he has to work late
Fold two hampers of clean laundry
Unload clean dishwasher
Work on a wipes case for my craft fair later this month
Got up at 5 am - took a shower, did hair and got dressed
Jed woke at 5:30 - got him dressed
cooked breakfast for DH, Jed and I (egg sandwiches) and packed my lunch
Took Jed to daycare and headed to work.
Work till 2:35
Went to the bank to get daycare money
Filled up the gas tank
Picked up Jed
Got home and drank a big glass of water
Cooked dinner - ate dinner
Cleaned up dinner
Played with Jed
Got on the internet...
