Some of the girls in my other group are getting into the 30 day shred so I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and check it out!
As it turns out, we have it On Demand for free on my TV... so I did level 1 today! It was AWESOME! Its like 20 minutes long and it totally kicked my arse. I'm already sore, so hopefully I can move tomorrow, haha. I haven't worked out hard like this since my gym membership expired in August and I haven't been going to the classes.
I really loved doing P90X with DH this spring but it was just too much of a time commitment at an hour+ per day. So with this being 30 days of 20 min workout videos... this is manageable! I can commit to this!
I felt so good this morning... all sweaty and feeling like I was gonna die but in that good workout way. Too bad my dumb butt drank a big cup of coffee and took a bunch of vitamins before doing it b/c shortly after I totally puked. haha. Vomit is just weakness leaving the body, right?
Lily even tried to do it with me! So yeah... I'm doing this! Anyone want to join me? I hear its only like $10 at target.
One of the girls in my other group posted before/afters and she lost 20 pounds doing it! I thought that was insane, and she was 7 months PP so its not like she had JUST had a baby and the weight was melting off anyway... she looks great! I was trying to figure out how many calories I burned approximately so I googled "my fitness pal 30 day shred" to see what other people were logging it as -- and as it turns out there's lots of posts on that message board with some pretty inspiring before & after pics.
I have it and couldn't make it through day 1 when I was attempting it before. however, I am sure I can do it now especially after attending a boot camp class. So I need to pull it out and attempt it again especially with fast approaching holiday season.
