Morning ladies! Have fun Michelle! my DH made plans with neighbors who live around the block last night for a BBQ/playdate, I have to say new people aren't really my thing, yikes! but hey maybe they will be normal? and not hate me

it's 9/11, still makes me cry, always will, the images are forever burned in my memory and today looks just like that day, a beautiful sunny Sept day that changed in an instant... and with that, I hugged my kids a little tighter this morning not just because they are mine and I love them but for all those lost that day that didn't realize it would be their last hug when they left for work. Never forget!

Hope you had fun with the sahm moms from O's school, Michelle.

Kim, it's fun meeting new neighbours, until things get weird. But at least if they live around the block, you won't have to see them every day if you "break up".

Our babysitting experience last night went pretty well. The kids had a BLAST playing all together before bed and everyone went down pretty easily. James and their boy (1) were both up when they got back from the concert, but Leah and their little girl (3) were fast asleep.

They went to see Madonna. The show was supposed to start around 8:30, but didn't start until after 10:30. And they were back to pick up the kids around 12:30, which means it was a short show. Not cool, Madonna. I'm not a fan anyways, but still, show some respect.

James has a cold (not a man cold yet, yay!), so we're just hanging out at home. It's nice.

Morning. Yay for Tuesday?

I am finding that Monday's are pretty busy around my office these days. It's one of the two days where the boss is almost always in the office for at least half of the day. I am sure that will change after the weather gets cooler and golf isn't as enticing though.

Funny how there are so many days in life that one can totally forget - forget what they were doing, who they were with, what they were talking about even. Strange that today is one of those days that will likely live in the very vivid memory of so many.

Sahm group was kind of boring. Holly asked to leave after a short while, so I obliged. Nice ladies, maybe a little too nice? Maybe I'm just not nice enough?

yay, 20lbs lighter is good!

Wed is ok, I finally got my mole in a jar results...2 were fine, 1 was abnormal so they have to go back and cut a little more skin out, it wasn't the big "c" but just abnormal cells so to be safe they cut more out, yay more cutting, ugh but still could be way worse, I'll take it.

in other news our neighbor playdate/bbq is all set up for Saturday, I was feeling anxious about it but after she texted that "and we have plenty of beer so don't worry about bringing anything, we are all set" I decided maybe they are ok...beer, food, live around the corner? this might potentially work out

Nice pun, Michelle.
Good news on the mole front, Kim (get it? hahahahaha. JK, I'm not good at puns). It's nice to have a sister who has gone through all of this before to guide you through.

Congrats on quitting your group, Michelle. I see volunteering as something to do pre-kids (I did a lot before Leah) and for retired people. I don't know how anyone in between has the time.

Wednesday was a good day. Errands with James this morning, then a picnic at Leah's school this afternoon. Leah is having a hard time settling down tonight (probably from the cotton candy), which probably means no work for me, but whatevs.

Good morning!

It's nearly Friday, keep fighting the good fight, guys! O has a ped day tomorrow so it may as well be Friday today, I guess? There's a parents meeting at his school tonight, I'm looking forward to his teacher clarifying some of the lyrics to one of the songs Oscar is always singing

Oh, it's just garbled faux French. But we got it straigtened out at lunch time today. Little guy has already come so far!

I sure am dragging my butt on some work I need to get done. I blame the evil internets.

So good to hear he's doing well, Michelle. Has he been ok at drop-offs the last couple of days?

I brought James to the science museum across town this morning, only to find out when we got there that it is closed for the week. Grr. He was busy chatting with a stuffed dog and didn't seem to notice. So I went to TH and got a coffee and a couple of timbits for him and we went home and played with his trains for an hour instead. He slept from 12 until it was time to pick Leah up. Life is pretty simple when it's just the two of us!

Happy long weekend, Michelle. For the rest of us, happy last day of work.

Happy Friday!

Jennifer, do they still have the trains and lighthouse and stuff out on the grounds of the science museum? I remember as kids our favourite part was just climbing all over that stuff. I bet the probably don't let kids climb on that stuff anymore though. We should totally have a science museum meet up sometime!

Drop offs are going better for O. If I walk away he stops with the "au revoir mama!" and is perfectly fine and if dh drops him off he can stand and watch with no problems whatsoever. Looks like I was the problem. Go figure

What to do with these monkeys today? Library I guess? There's a girl from O's school who lives around the corner and she's hired O to work at her lemonade stand tomorrow so maybe we'll go over there this aft to work on their sign. I like this girl's mom so hopefully O doesn't act like a jerk and blow it for me

aww I find if I do drop offs the kids always get a bit weepy, even still! if DH does it they run in and don't look back, I think they sense our mama emotions and play off it! Glad O is doing well and hopefully he is a jerk today lol

Tonight we have to run a couple errands and then our friend is in from NC, actually it's DHs BFFs girlfriend and they just got engaged, this is huge news, thought it might not ever happen LOL, so they are coming over to hang for a bit, I should probably grab a bottle of something to celebrate their engagement...... tomorrow is our "new neighbor date", Sunday we are having friends over for football. Busy weekend!
