Milan ( and pregnant myself ) have been coughing for a couple of days. It is mostly dry cough and it gets worse at night. I can deal with it, but I am having a hard time helping Milan with it. Got him some homeopathic honey syrup today and hope it will help.
What do you do to help your LO with cough?

Honey syrup (Honey Elixar). It actually works better for me than for Max I also use a humidifier at night and peppermint essential oil mixed in coconut oil on his chest and the bottom of his feet.

Thanks Host ! I forgot to mention I use wicks on chest, back and feet and a humidifier. It is so terrible to hear him wake up all the time even though he is pretty good at going back to sleep on his own.

Betsy has a cough too. Poor little kiddos. Right now, she's got a humidifier in her room. I've been giving her more water (and juice) throughout the day as well. The doctor recommended 1 mL of Robitussin DM every six hours, but I'm not super comfortable with that right now. She's definitely coughing, but it's not a constant cough so I'm holding off as long as possible.

Hope you and Milan feel better soon! I remember had two colds right after I got my BFP and couldn't really take anything to feel better.

Poor Betsy, hers must be terrible if the doctor is turning to the adult meds. I hope she gets better and you can avoid giving them to her.

Teresa had some coughing (her brothers had it way worse) and I used vicks on her back and feet. I'd put that on all of them, give the boys meds and then have them sit in my bathroom and read while I took a steamy shower (hubby was gone that week so it was dual purpose-I got my shower and it helped them).

I hope all the mommies and babies feel better soon!

Kierson has a cough right now too, but I've never actually used anything to help with it.

Vicks on sock covered feet, honey elixir and a humidifier for Ryan and Logan.
I swear by delsym, it always helped my cough.

When I was at Target tonight, I picked up some Johnson & Johnson soothing bath wash (for babies with colds). She was asleep when I got home so we'll try it tomorrow.

Can I ask a really dumb question? How does putting Vicks on their feet help them? Isn't it too far away from their noses to do any good?

I'm with Kris, it just works But I think it has something to do with the thinner skin and openness of the pores in your feet. I do it to myself, too, when I'm stuffed up and it helps.

Definitely gotta try the Vicks on the feet! I tried the soothing baby wash tonight (which smelled like Vicks in body wash form), so we'll see if that helps.
