Today is the day that we are going to begin some rather major napping/nursing changes. I am really sad, but i know it is for the best. All along, evan has done the most of his napping while nursing. He nurses and falls asleep. From there, sometimes i can put him down but most of the time i hold him while he naps. But today im going to try to start keeping him awake while nursing and get him to nap in his crib. It is so bittersweet. My baby is getting too big! Just felt like sharing. And maybe this post will help me stay accountable and on track.

UPDATE 1:
We have attempted our new napping/nursing plan for two days now. I guess it is still hard to really say how successful or not-so-successful it has been. The first day he did not nap in his crib at all, and he let us know he was not too thrilled with our attempt. Then, he fell asleep on DH after trying in his crib. And then yesterday, he cried for a while in his crib and then fell asleep for about 1.5 hours. So...progress??? Fingers crossed!

Lots of luck to you! I will have to tackle this myself some day soon. She does pretty good at bed time, nursing then laid to bed when not fully asleep, but nap time is a different story. I can always leave her once she's asleep but I'm pretty sure if I put her in her crib she'd wake up screaming. Let us know how it goes and any tips or advice you wanna share.

Good luck. Teresa also catches short naps/rests while nursing. Teresa only naps on the go or in her swing, which is the total opposite of my boys.

Good luck, and remember we're holding you to it

I feel your pain, it's so frustrating-Celia goes to sleep in an instant for my husband but nurses for a good 20 minutes before sleeping for me.
