I have to bring chili to work for a cook off on Thursday, and I need a good recipe! I don't really care about winning just making something edible.

Any suggestions?

If you want something different, DH puts venison in his chili. I can't stand it, but he LOVES it!

Jeanine, chicken chili sounds yummy! Did you already post it in the recipes thread?

CHILI

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 white onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 TBS chili powder
4 (14.5 oz) cans stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained
1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained
1 packet chili seasoning

Combine meat, onion and garlic in large stockpot. Cook and stir over medium heat until meat is brown. Drain off excess liquid.

Stir in seasonings, tomatoes, and tomato sauce/paste. Break up tomatoes while stirring. Heat to boiling then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.

Stir in beans and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

AJ and I make Carrie's recipe AT LEAST monthly...it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy and delicious!

Weight watchers 1 point chili - easy and delicious! My husband loves it.
* 1 15 ounce can chopped (diced) tomatoes
* 1 16 ounce can (or 2 - 8 ounce cans) of tomato sauce (I prefer delmonte)
* 1 can corn
* 1 can fat free refried beans (I prefer Taco Bell brand)
* 1 can Kidney Beans
* 1 can Pinto Beans
* 1 cup water
* 1 large onion
* 1 lb of lean ground beef
* 1 package Hidden Valley Ranch DRESSING mix (NOT buttermilk one)
* 1 package taco seasoning(I prefer taco bell brand)
* 1- 4 ounce can chopped green chilis

Instructions

Chop onion and brown ground beef. Add the rest of the ingredients (DO NOT drain anything.) Bring to a boil over medium heat and then simmer for 15 minutes. 1 cup = 1 point
