Well, Grace is finally getting down from the bed or couch by herself, and getting up if she can manage. She also just started coming up the stairs, and slowly she is learning to go down. I hope she masters this skill quickly so I can ditch the gates!
I guess Kierson's newest, more exciting milestone is asking for food! He actually will say "mine" and reach out for food or walk over to his highchair and try to climb up into it. I NEVER thought he would be so enthused about food! It only took 12-13 months!
He's learning new words...started signing "thank you", said peekaboo (or something really similar), "uh oh" constantly, just started saying "all done" yesterday...we'll see if it sticks, and climbs up the stairs.
Thank you Alethia for my gorgeous siggy!!
So many changes! These kiddos are growing up too fast!!!!!
If you ask Betsy "What does the doggie say?", she will reply "Woof woof". She's climbing up the stairs like a little monkey now. When she doesn't know something, she'll shrug her shoulders and put her hands up, as if to say "I don't know". She's trying to climb into the tub and onto the couch, but she hasn't managed to figure that one out yet. She'll wave hi and bye-bye. She's also expressing her wants much more -- she'll point to the Christmas tree when it's off and she wants it on.....she'll point to the iPod when she wants to hear music.....she'll grab your hand and walk you to whatever she wants you to do.
But the little girl STILL WON'T SAY MAMA ON A REGULAR BASIS. I'm proud of her accomplishments, but this one area still stings a bit.
Eli is talking up a storm! He is putting words together, which is really exciting. Most of it is probably him just mimicking things I say, but it's still pretty cool to hear and to know that he understands.
He says "Hi daddy/mama". He also says "Ready to go" (keep in mind I say this all the time before we leave the house and it is one of those things where *I* know what he is saying, but other people who aren't around him a lot probably wouldn't hear it ).
I also have been trying to get him to stop hitting people's faces when he gets excited , so I taught him to "use soft hands" by stroking the person's cheek with his hand. He now does that on his own while saying "Awww".
"...all good things are wild and free."

We officially have a walker over here! He babbles a lot too,but he has been doing that for a while. And I know the sounds he will make in response to certain things. So its pretty much like we can have a conversation.
