Okay, let's talk about poop.

Miss Betsy Boo has several poopy diapers a day, every day. It is not uncommon for her to have 3 or 4 -- she has ALWAYS been like this (lucky me -- soooooooo thankful I decided to go with CD's ). Today at my mom's, she had SEVEN poopy diapers!!!!! All solid -- no trace of an upset stomach.

How many poopy diapers are you changing a day? Am I the only one with a super-pooper?

Typically 3. Maybe 4. His are sometimes solid, but regularly kind like mud. More wet/diarrheaish than I really think they should be. Which is why I think we're constantly having diaper rash. Not really sure what to do about it though.

Natalie is pretty much like clockwork. She sometimes has a nugget when she wakes up, then poops when I put her down for nap at 1pm (big mashy lump, not runny or hard) and then again later in the day before bed (same consistency). She rarely goes more than 2 times a day. HOWEVER....Owen used to go up to 7 times a day when he was in diapers. I mean, it was crazy. Every time there was poop when I went to change him. He has suspected lactose intolerance (Evan and I are both severe with it) but they can't test this young so they told us to give him Lactaid milk and limit dairy. It has helped. Now, he goes at lunch and before bed regularly and it is well formed vs it used to be very mushy. I am not saying Betsy has lactose issues, but that is what it was with Owen.

Logan's about 2-3 a day sometimes runny so he's still on the baby probiotics. When he's not feeling well its up to 4-5 a day.

Hmmmmm.....that's interesting about the lactose intolerance. Neither of us have dairy issues, but maybe she does. Granted, today's 8 BMs (yep, she had one more before bed!), is out of the ordinary, but maybe there is sensitivity to dairy.

I wonder if probiotics would limit amount or help consistency?

Max takes daily probiotics, and he usually has 3-5 poopy diapers a day. Usually they are either solid or mushy, but today he's had crazy runny/watery diarrhea

Evan probably poo's on average about 1.5 times per day. Wow to all the mommas with major poopers! That sounds like a lot of work.

Myles normally has 2 per day. He starts off like Natalie - with a harder nugget and then a big mash later on.

The odd time he will go a day or two without popping and then on day three he will go 4 - 5 times.

I'm interested in where the probiotics are from?

Hah! Kelli- I don't know, but I am kinda thankful I don't have to change so many poopy diapers! However, that one or two a week are SO stinky and so full..It makes up for several!

Ellie was the same as a baby. Now..Every time I turn around shes in on the toilet- and its VERY STINKY!!

Baby's Jarro-Dophilus

These are the ones we use and I found them at the local health food store...our pedi recommended using probiotics b/c Logan had had such issues with diarrhea b/c he's been on antibiotics off and on for the recurrent ear infections. Its just 1/4 teaspoon daily and we mix it in with his bottle.

I'd say Teresa averages 1-2/day. Some days it's nothing, then other days she'll do it twice. It would be rare for her to go more than twice though.

Gideon never goes more than once a day. Most of the time he'll go every other day, sometimes every third day. But 7-8 times in ONE day???? That's crazy!!

Usually 2-3 times. She had diarrhea last week and it was miserable for both of us.
