Does anyone have any good cookie recipes they want to share? I am in the mood to bake! I am a novice baker so nothing too complicated.

What kind of cookies are you looking for?

I just made peanut butter balls. They are sooooo yummy!

Mix 2 sticks softened butter
6 cups powdered sugar
and 2 cups peanut butter together until well mixed.

Roll into bite sized balls and chill for 30 minutes.

Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or over double boiler on stove.
Dip peanut butter balls in chocolate until well coated.

Let cool until chocolate is hardened.

Soo....what did you make?

Here's one of my favorites:

PERFECT Snickerdoodles

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter flavored shortening
2 large eggs
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Heat oven to 400. Beat 1 cup sugar, shortening and eggs. Stir in flour, baking soda, powder and salt. Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a seperate bowl. Roll the balls in this mixture. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes, if cracking, they're done. Immediately remove from pan.

I'll post my sugar cookie recipe tomorrow when I pull out my recipe book. My fav is on the back of that yellow chocolate chip bag.

I like to buy those cookies from the cookie places in the mall. Not too fond of making them because I ALWAYS mess them up somehow. If you have a Kroger, the already made cookie dough that you break apart and bake is great, especially their brand of cranberry oatmeal cookies.
