Kellen's really struggling with sleep tonight. He wakes up crying like every 90 minutes Poor sweet boy. I know he's got 4 teeth coming in, and they are the worst ones, too.

I have so much work to do, I can't keep going in there for 20 min at a time to soothe him! I'm letting him ride this one out and see if he can put himself to sleep Poor kid. I gave him some tylenol and I don't see much difference!

I don't know if it's truly teething, or something else (he's been pretty gassy today). Sigh. I can't do this all night, and certainly neither can he!

OK... It's not every 90 min. It's every 15 now. I've tried everything. I am just going to let him cry this one out. I've tried: tylenol, desitin (in case it's something raw down there that I don't know about), baby's pepto (in case it's tummy troubles, his diapers have been rather pasty or runny... blech), vics vapo rub on his chest (he has a cold and is coughing)... I can't think of anything else to do! He's fine when I'm in there and then as soon as I leave, he throws a huge fit.

Oh, and the warm air humidifier is on full blast.

Sigh.

I'm sorry Hun, it's so hard when they don't feel good and certainly getting 4 teeth at once is really tough on them it sounds like you're doing everything you possibly can so I'm sorry I don't have any advice other than you're not alone. E has been cutting all 4 molars at once for about a month now :/

I hope your little man feels better and is able to soothe himself back to sleep...you both need your rest...especially preggo mommy

thanks, girls. I'm tired today, but am going to work out. DD has a dance recital rehearsal and then we have a party tonight. Maybe no nap for me! but he better nap and nap WELL today.

He's definitely got a cold and his breathing isn't clear (not bad, just congested). Sigh. I wish it were growing pains. He hasn't grown much since his 1 year.

I'm just hoping tonight's better!

Hugs! I hope he feels better. Sounds like a terrible night. Add sine saline drops for his congestion to stay away from ear infections. We were up 5 nights every 30 min to an hour because of ears and did not know it. I feel terrible now, but will know next time. It was just like you described, he was ok with us and as soon as we were not there he would cry.

Betsy was doing that last month when she had her bad cold and cough. Johnson & Johnson makes a soothing bath wash that smells like Vicks, so we used that to try and make her feel better. Otherwise, we just rode it out. Wish I had some advice for you -- hope he sleeps tonight!

I hadn't thought of ear infections... definitely will use the little noses tonight. He's still congested, and he's fine all day, but bam... the minute you try to put him down, forget it.

He only took one, SHORT nap today. and we have a Christmas party tonight. It may be rough...

Poor Kellen & you! It definitely sounds like something is bothering him and you're doing everything I can think of to make him feel better. I hope he gets well soon and the Christmas party isn't too rough for either of you!

It does sound like an ear infection. Michael just had one and I posted about it several weeks ago. After 10 days of antibiotic he is sleeping much better. Hope your LO feels better soon , it is definitely rough when they are sick.

He's been sleeping much better the past 2 nights and naps. I don't know what it was... I read that they do get ear infections, and for the most part, they can pass on their own in just a few days, which may have happened. He's actually been sleeping in the past 2 days (he AND Kensley, and thus, ME TOO!!! ) We just took a 2 hour nap after MOPS. HEAVEN.
