Braylon apparently has peed on the potty for day care several times and the teacher says about 90% of the time when they put him on for them. Home - never. I am not pushing it and neither are they, they just do it for practice with the little ones at day care. Part of me is excited for potty training and then I think of all the travel we do and how nice diapers are. We'll wait awhile yet till he seems ready. So excited for all of you that have interested little ones though.
I agree travelling diapers are SO much easier LOL! I will get Lainey a potty sometime in next few months and will start getting her some cloth training undies too but yeah we are in no hurry right now with the new one coming that is for sure!
Our friend is here from England right now and will be here until St Patricks Day so that is something nice for us! A change as gets us out and about more and gets me cooking more too haha!
It's great to hear about so many babies potty training. Honestly, my three year old JUST decided in the last couple of months that she was ready to be 100% done with dipes, so she's been in big girl pants and it's great. Now on to Anna (when she's ready). She says "I potty" or "pooped" so I think she's 'getting' it but we've had no luck with her actually going on the potty! So we'll see. I'd love to do it this summer when I'm off work.
Megan ~ Been thinking of you and DH lately a lot. Praying you get some answers soon.
My spring break begins next Friday and I am so pumped. I'm really looking forward to a week off!
It snowed about 4 inches or so here last night and it's the really pretty kind that's sticking to the trees so it's a beautiful snowy morning and the best part is it will all be gone in a few days!!
Popping in for a second. I'm not sure if I mentioned it but we moved Kalia to a toddler bed. She's doing great with it. She's also working on potty training. She's gone several times but we're not pushing it.
Birthday Party Success ... and super tired now. Madeline was sick all weekend and hoping she is better for tomorrow. We'll see. DH was puking tonight now ... ugh sickness go away and hoping we didn't infect anyone that was here. Also really hoping Braylon doesn't get it and would also love for myself not to get sick too. Braylon's actual birthday is tomorrow. I can't believe these LO's are turning 2 already. DH & I are supposed to go to lunch with Braylon at day care tomorrow. I hope everything is back to normal tomorrow and we can do that.
hey ladiessssssss sorry I haven't been checking in here, this month is nuts so I have limited time I have been using online!
Just thought I would pop in and say I haven't forgot about our challenge here!
Lainey had her 2 year appt today and she is 26lbs12oz (50%) and 32.5 inches tall (25%). Doc said he wouldn't worry about her language (or lack thereof) too much yet since she does seem to be getting more and she is over 15 words but he did tell us about a free service if we were worried we could have assess her further. We are not that worried though (yet).
My parents visit is FINALLY here. I've spent the past 2 days cleaning and got up this morning early to get the last minute stuff done. Ahh, love having a clean house. So excited for them to see where we live!!
I took a little personal time away from most things "social-media". I've been pretty busy working and with family, and course Kylie keeps me on my toes with all her antics
DH and I got really sick for a bit with an awful lingering stomach bug. I wouldn't wish that on anyone!! And luckily Kylie never got it.
As far as Kylie goes, she is seeming so much less like a baby and more like a little kid. It's so bittersweet! She is very talkative and playful, and like I mentioned before, always up to some mischief
Hope everyone here is doing well.
Allyssa- cant wait to hear what you are having. I never put in my guess. Mostly bc I
was stumped!
Exhausted. Ems party today was a success. We're going to go spend some time down at the beach, or by the pool, with my parents tomorrow to kill some time before my U/S!!
Allyssa-LOVE the name so much!!! Will you call her Addie for short? Love that nickname (my friend has an Addison she calls Addie) Congrats on another girl! Hope you are enjoying family time! So jealous of pool time! I am craving some sunshine on my face! We are hitting upper 50's today though and hoping to see 60's SOON so I just may be able to get some color on my face soon enough!
Rachel-Welcome back!!!! So are you still thinking boy for me? I really am thinking it is but I try not to say it too much as don't wanna get Gareth's hopes up even though he is convinced it is a boy as well haha....I have to say though looking at all Lainey's dresses (she has over 12 already for this summer!) I would love to have another girl too so either way
Hiya to Leigh, Megan, and Kelly! Hope you ladies are all doing well!
Thanks ladies. And Steph - I don't know. I don't want to say yes right now and have the same issue we have/had with Em. When I was pg with her, MIL of course didn't like her name so I said we're going to call her Emma. Well, turns out that Emmersyn is absolutely NOT an Emma and we hardly, if at all, call her that. DH uses it sometimes, but not often and not really towards her. I don't like the name at all now. But MIL, SIL and nephews were calling her that all.the.time. They sometimes still use it, but rarely. So I don't want to tell people that her nick name will be Addie, but have her not be an Addie. Yanoe? It IS a possible nickname - But I am just going to wait to see before I announce that, so to say.
allyssa- I know exactly what you mean! When I was pg with charlotte we said we would call her Charlie but that hasn't happened yet. For awhile it was because she didn't have any hair and i didn't feel like correcting everyone that she was NOT a boy. But now she has hair and i still don't call her charlie. So I totally get the nickname dilemma.
I get the nickname dilemma too which is how Gabby ended up just a Gabby and not a Gabrielle or Gabriella LOL! I was in reverse situation where I just liked Gabby better and didn't really want to be having to write out her full name when that is what she never went by! Same with Lainey as I have heard of Alana's and other names like that being shortened to Lainey but I just liked Lainey! haha.
Steph, that's how we were with our boy name. We had decided on Liam. But at first, we thought he'd be a William but we would call him Liam (since DH goes by Will or William, and his gpa went by Bill). But I thought it'd just be too much of a pain when he was older to always have to correct people. So we just decided on just Liam.
Hi ladies ... we are having fabulous summer like weather in March here. I love being able to take the kids outside after work and getting a nice walk in or playing in the back yard. Madeline is working on popping teeth right now which is making her a horrible sleeper and making my sleep significantly reduced . Braylon is doing well after having the flu last weekend. So over all the illnesses in our house over the last week. I am hoping the warm weather is kicking them out.
Allyssa - I love the name you choose. We call Madeline - Madeline but there are lots of people that call her Maddie already. I don't mind that they do it's just not what we call her yet anyway.
