I'm feeling her more and more each day, so the name thing is becoming very real. So far, we're all very healthy and doing well! So, we may actually be narrowing our list down. I say that with GREAT hesitation, because it may actually be ME narrowing down MY list and DH may not agree with anything!

Three of these are gaining steam, but I'm hesitant to bump the others down to the alternatives list just yet... but they are not necessarily in order of consideration
So, what I have thus far (and believe me, it's changed quite a lot) for my top choices (with some others still high in the alternatives, but losing steam)...

So which goes better with my sibset, and questions following:

Kensley, Kellen, * Kersten (nn Kersey) * and (ahem ) Kemper

Kensley, Kellen, * Kestyn * and (ahem ) Kemper

Kensley, Kellen, * Kestrel * and (ahem ) Kemper

Kensley, Kellen, * Keslyn * and (ahem ) Kemper

Kensley, Kellen, *Kerine* and (ahem ) Kemper

and maybe still: Kensley, Kellen, * Kerris * and (ahem ) Kemper

Of course, we don't have a Kemper, but I'm dreaming of an oopsie boy in the future. Probably won't happen, but you never know (I mean, chances would still be 50/50 for a girl, too! )

So...

Questions I hope you could answer...

As you can see from my other names, are any of these names too dated? Too "boring" or typical? Too out-there? Not fitting because of name origin (Celtic vs Scandinavian, for example)? or too close to any of the other names?

Thanks for your thoughts! Maybe, JUST maybe the next name thread will have an answer (or narrowed to two or three CERTAIN options, at least!) The plan, though, is to NOT make a decision until somewhere in 30 weeks, when I can really feel her moving and maybe even DH and DD can feel her too I don't think we ever had a decided name before 30 weeks and before I could "feel" whether or not it was the right name, but I'd like to see what you have to say on this shorter list...

Thanks much!

I like Kerris. I don't know why, I just think it's a good fit with Kensley and Kellen.

I like Kerris and Kerine the best out of your list. The only one I really don't like is Kestrel, but that's JMHO! Go with what you like the best, of course!

Kensley, Kellen, * Kersten (nn Kersey) * and (ahem ) KemperDifferent, but imo not as feminine as some of your other choices

Kensley, Kellen, * Kestyn * and (ahem ) Kemperdifferent, feminine, sweet

Kensley, Kellen, * Kestrel * and (ahem ) Kemper Love This name! And I like that it has different consonants than the other siblings names so you don't mix up who you're yelling at.

Kensley, Kellen, * Keslyn * and (ahem ) KemperVery feminine and pretty IMO

Kensley, Kellen, *Kerine* and (ahem ) KemperJust my o-pine o'course, but this seems like just a funky spelling of a common name. A nice name of course.

and maybe still: Kensley, Kellen, * Kerris * and (ahem ) KemperSweet and makes me think of heiress or the mythical Erris

I think Kerris is my favorite out of all of them still. I do not care for Kestrel at all TBH. I still say go for Kemper, I know you love it so much and so do I. It's totally a unisex name to me!

Thanks, ladies...

I just found out that there's a huge Bible College planned to be built and open in our small town in just a couple of years (very much under the way) and it's Charis Bible College, pronounced the same way as Kerris would be. DH's not keen on that and never LOVED the name, so Kerris may be out, or at least bumped to the alternatives list. Sigh. I wasn't 100% sold on it, but still... if it's not one thing, it's another. It's actually kind of funny because when I heard (long ago) of Charis, I remember thinking, "that's a dumb name" and here I am considering something just like it!

And... in citing these names over and over in my head... Keslyn sounds too much like Kellen (substitute the first l for an s and you have, basically, the same name), so it may be off too.

So, the remaining 4 are those that were on our tops for a bit. We won't cross off Kerris yet, but it's something else to think of.

As for the spelling of Kerine, I actually didn't come up with this at all! It's a family name on DH's mother's side, so it kind of fits. Not sure I love it though... but I like it enough to keep it.
