1 year ago today my good friend Jennifer's 11 year old son Anthony passed away, this day creeped up so fast, I can't believe it's been 1 year! In 2 weeks it will have been a year since my grandfather passed and this morning I got news I was NOT expecting to.

One of my very good friends dad passed away unexpectedly. They don't know what happened or why and there will be no autopsy performed. I was friends with him as well and can see on his FB he was playing games early yesterday. My friend said he had thrown a phone to wake her up because he couldn't speak and was having troubles breathing, she is only 19, if you could keep her family in your prayers that would be greatly appreciated.

Do you remember a year ago or so when I posted about a good friends dad coming to me and confiding in me about his health? I think it may have been posted in the SG I'm not sure, but I wrote about her dad coming to me and telling me that he was going through tests because doctors thought he might have throat cancer, he asked me if anything were to ever happen to him to help her and take care of her because she thought the world of me and wanted me to let her know he loved her if anything were to happen. He never ended up confirming with me whether he had it or not so I left it alone, it was such a hard position to be put in. I don't think she knows about it, she would have said something to me. Should I tell her now?

I'm so sorry, Leasha! What a macabre day time for you As far as telling your friend, just do what you feel is right. I think you'll know over time what to say to her. If she seems really confused and shaken from the lack of answers, it might help to tell her, but if you think it would hurt her that he went to you and didn't talk to her about it, it might be best to let it go.

I ended up taking her to dinner tonight and I told her about the whole conversation I had with her father way back when, she was utterly grateful I told her, she told me it helped her feel a lot better and it gave her some peace. She just kept thanking me for telling her and she said it answered a lot of questions for her because she wondered why he was going for so many tests and seeing the doctors so much, I guess he wouldn't tell her anything just that everything was alright. I feel so bad for her, he was a great guy.
