I haven't taken Megan to the library yet since I swear the girl has her own going on in our house already!
I'm pretty sure Megan caught the nasty cough that has been going around. All night I have heard her up coughing and crying. Its been really hard

Max is coughing and crying at night, too. I hold him at an incline for a while, and let him swallow all the junk in this throat. It seems to help him settle down again, but I'm definitely tired!

Max was really cranky this morning too. And I am soooooooo sick of wiping his nose!
So, what's everyone's take on the Oscars? Happy with the wins? The dresses? The only movie I actually saw was The Help and I thought the nominees did a good job. And Octavia's dress was very pretty.

Um how sad is it I didn't see any of the big movie nominees? Ok well actually if the last HP was one then I did. I liked some of the dresses, I semi watched when DH and BIL did and saw Cameron Diaz and J-Lo on stage. Did you ladies hear about the twitter acct made for Angelina Jolie's right leg? Last count I heard it had 14,000+ followers! Ridiculous!

What's for dinner tonight? Anything special plans this weekend? Are you excited for any upcoming events/vacations?

Dinner tonight has finally been figured out! I put some chicken breasts and potatoes in the crock pot turned it on high and am hoping that at 6pm tonight it is cooked! One can hope Not really looking forward to this weekend in its entirety because David leaves for his business trip on Sunday morning and won't be back until Thursday.

I haven't completely decided whats for dinner. I know its going to be something chicken, some steamed veggies, and homemade garlic cheese toast. We have a birthday party to go to tomorrow and I just found out my mom is coming to buy groceries tonght(if I got with her). Other than that its a normal weekend.

Do you have family that lives several hrs away? Do you see them often or just a few times a year? Do you wish they lived closer or could visit more often?
Dh and I rarely see his closest brother. They live directly across the state from us, but there is no easy way to get there. Either way take clsoe to 6 hrs. And roughly 2-4 tanks of gas, depending on if we are going just to visit or to pick them up drive back here, and if we have to drive them home.

I do now - it's a really nice change to have my parents a few hours away by car instead of halfway across the country. If they move closer when my dad retires, that would be great. Right now I see them (or at least my mom) once every month or two. Now that we're back in the midwest, a couple of my aunts are closer too, but we've only seen them once since moving. DH's family is still far away. Visits with them can bring about some tension, but it would be nice if the trips were easier to make.

All of DH's family lives close to us so that is really nice and my Dad lives a few miles away from us as well. The rest of my family lives a couple states away so I don't see them all too often.

Most of my family lives close. I have a brother who is a ferry ride and 12+ hrs away. We don't get out there much. Other than that, just a couple uncles and aunts on both mine and DH's side who live on the opposite coast but they come out a couple times a year.

Productive! I am just taking a little computer break.
I tried out my new food processor today and it is just thrilling!! I can't believe I'm not even being sarcastic; I've never even considered buying one of those things until my recent batch-cooking experiments. But that thing is just great - so fast! Now I'm going to finish vacuuming and then clean the bathroom - waaaaaaaaaaaay less thrilling.
