I am constantly wondering if Ava is getting enough nutritional food. At her 12 month appointment her dr told us she is in the 15% for her weight and that if she was still there at her 15 month (march 13) they may put her on something to make her gain weight. She seems healthy to me and she eats really good.
So my question is..... WHAT FOODS ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR 1 YEAR OLD RIGHT NOW?

For Breakfast Ava usually has a whole banana with either, oatmeal, yogurt, toast, cereal or cream of wheat and a cup of whole organic milk

snack: either yogurt melts, puffs, apple sauce, peaches, mandrin oranges or something like that
with a cup of milk

Lunch: I'm having a heard time coming up with different ideas for lunch HELP!
somethings i make her now are... grilled cheese, pb&j, turkey and cheese with crackers

Dinner: she usually eats whatever we eat

I dont give her much juice, she mostly just drinks milk

It sounds like she's eating great! And it seems bizzare for your doc to think there's a problem if she's growing well, not falling off her curve, and hitting her milestones. Mathematically, not every baby can be 50th percentile.

Susie increased to the 3rd percentile for weight at her 12-month appt in December. Between 9 and 12 months, she was off the bottom of the charts. But she's developing well and growing at her own pace, so everyone's happy.

As for food, we're pretty boring here. Susie mostly eats what we eat, though she does get plenty of grilled cheese, lunchmeat sandwiches, applesauce, cottage cheese, and her new fave - hotdogs.

yeah i thought that was crazy that they were so concerned with her being in the 15th
She has always been a little smaller, she was 5 weeks early. I did some research last night on good things to feed a one year old and made her up a whole menu (breakfast, lunch and snacks) of different things to eat. My main reason is, yes, i want her to eat healthy but I also want her to require a taste for lots of different food and not be a picky eater! So far she is really good about eating just about anything (fruit and veggies). if anyone wants some more ideas of healthy snack and meal ideas to feed your LO, I can copy and paste my meal plan i made onto here for you!

Baby Garry has been in the 97% since birth, and I was worried that the Dr's would want him to cut back on what he eats, but so far they all say that since he is tracking in the same % at each appt there is nothing to worry about. So if she is not loosing % each appt then you should be fine.

Garry eat's about the same things as your LO. We do scrambled eggs and toast, or oatmeal for breakfast. Lunch is hotdogs, PB&J, grilled cheese, Mac&Cheese, tuna fish, fish sticks or individual microwaveable veggies like you can take to work for lunch. Dinner is whatever we are eating or more of what we do at luchtime. Snacks are yougart, vanilla wafers, fruit, fig newtons, granola bars and things like that, but his favorite is squeezable applesauce packs. He drinks alot of milk and water, vanilla soy milk for a treat, and we don't do much juice either because it give him diaper rash.

Jax has cereal with fruit or juice every morning, leftovers for lunch and whatever we're eating for dinner. He eats a ton but he's still pretty little since he's so freaking active. I don't know how bug he is now but I will find out at his 15 month appt in a few days. He was 21 pounds fully clothed for his sick visit a couple weeks ago.

Morgan is soooooooo picky. She will only eat bananas, carrots (only if they are regular, not crinkle cut), peaches/pears, chicken nuggets, meatballs, and any type of cereal. That.is.it.
