Violet will sing along to the ABCs and she counts to 5 in Korean and English. She knows some other numbers, but doesn't always put them in the correct order.
She does recognize all of her letters by sight and she will show you the X, S, C, etc if you ask. We don't actually sing the ABC song much, since I'd prefer her to know the letters by sight and sound, etc versus just learning the song and not recognizing the letters when she sees them.
Mia can count to ten with a little bit of guidance (otherwise she'll skip four) and she can recite the ABC's with a little bit of guidance or she skips a couple letters. She does not recognize any by sight though. I guess we should work on that. To be perfectly honest, I have never worked with any of my kids on things like that prior to preschool age/Kindergarten age....they do learn some through play and singing and having fun but we don't officially "work" on anything. They all get it eventually....some early and some not till Kindergarten.
she wants to and shes trying though. if we look at the abc puzzle she points and makes a sound and wants me to tell her the letters. same with numbers. she will mimic my tone and make a sound but not the actual word yet.
