Is your child a head butter?

Maggie every so often will bang her head into a wall just to hear the thud. She thinks it's funny. Doesn't hurt, she doesn't do it hard enough, but she does it out of the blue, and I have to shake my head - I worry about this kid some days. All I can think of is the movie Parenting from the 80's.

She'll head butt me or DH once in a while to try to move us where she wants us. But it's more putting her head against us and then pushing, than actual head butting.

well Miranda isn't really a head butter but when she's mad she will strike out with anything...arms, legs, head...just to get her frustration out. So she has headbutted me before, but it doesn't happen often. She's more of a slapper, pincher and thrower. Yesterday she threw a toy car at my face while I was trying to buckle her in the car seat.
Love that age. sigh!

^^ LOL I remember someone laughing at me when I told them I was at war with my child (who always seems perfectly well behaved when in front of other people)...

And you always know who the seasoned parents are when they nod in response. hahahahaha

yeah, and for some reason it seems to be getting worse with each child.
they just learn from their siblings. my first born was so easy in comparison. I always laugh when people tell me that I must be a pro at this just because I have 4 kids. there is always something new and 'interesting' with each child. I'm dreading the teenage years.

Not yet... When she is frustrated she throws herself on the floor and cries. She used to pull my hair out and claw my face. We passed that phase thank goodness. She hits me occasionally and I have gotten bitten by her a couple of times. Yesterday she kicked me in my mouth. <sigh>. Head butting is probably coming next...
