I saw that a lot of LO's go to preschool already, I feel awful for not starting Tommy yet! If you haven't sent your LO yet, when will you? If you did how often do they go?

I dont send Ross and I never will. We are planning to homeschool but even if i wasnt i still wouldnt send him, unless for some reason he needed to go to daycare then i would probably lean towards a daycare with a preschool program

Dont feel bad, we as parents do what's best for our kids. London will start a half day preschool program next year August 2013. Currently she is in daycare and they work on various things such as numbers, colors and the alphabet.

Maggie is in preschool only because when the nanny told me she was going to start applying for full time city work, I had to find something and they were the only thing I could easily find in our new town.

I still struggle with wanting to be a SAHM til she starts full day kindergarten but this really has been great for her. I can see that too. She goes 5 days a week for full days.

when my kids go to preschool, it's the one my mom runs through her work. it's free, it runs 2x a week for 10 weeks. I will probably send him when he's 3 or 4, and then again right before he starts school. that's what we did for Rebecca. it's very informal and my mom is the teacher, but they love it and I like the break

other than that, they have never gone to daycare or a "real" preschool.

We are just discussing putting Sophia into a part-time daycare program 2x a week. But it is so expensive. I don't think it's a preschool. I honestly didn't know there was a difference. Duh. I guess I should research that a little better.

I would like to put her into some kind of program b/c we just moved and we don't really know anybody here yet. I think she would make friends there really fast. I used to have a big mommy circle of friends w/ baby friends and here we know a couple of people. Sophia really misses her friends and she tries hard to make friends but the kids can be kind of stand-off-ish. Even at this age!

I think preschool around here starts at 2.9, so maybe next year I will send him for 3 days a week.

No preschool, but she's been in a home daycare since she was 1, so she gets a bit of exposure to other kids. She'll start kindergarten at 4.

No preschool, hoping to homeschool. It can be a challenge to make sure she gets the quantity and quality time with kids her age that she needs, but it is doable.

Ellie went to daycare full time until this year. Now she goes twice a week and the babysitter works with the kids on preschool stuff. She'll probably start some sort of part time preschool next fall.
