I quit my full-time 9-5 job! yep I can't believe it. Over that last few months alot has been going on in my family as you know. We have a new addition and of course new demands. I was literally about to have a mental breakdown dealing with all of it. Well I initially went to school to be a licensed counselor, but got my bachelor's degree, started having kids and found a suitable job working at social security. I would occasionally counsel youth on the side and weekends. Well after much discussion we decided that I would quit my full time job and do counseling full time. At the same time I decided to go back to school to finish my licensure as a counselor.... I am literally leaving the security and safety net of a secure job to basically doing contract work full time. The upside is that I would be home with my kiddos, I would be able to devote the time with my family like I need to. I set my own schedule, see a couple clients a day and I will end up after doing the numbers making double what I make now!
I am scared and petrified though! ha ha ..go figure..I know it is just because its new and unknown. I am truly blessed though to have a husband who's job has pretty good benefits and good pay. So as I type this is my LAST day at work. I just can't believe I did it. I never thought that I would do something like this. ha ha
Thank you ladies. Well the plan with Ms. London is to keep her in daycare part-time. Currently she is in there 10 hrs+. I will have a couple clients to see in the day so she will go there. So Im thinking 4 to 5 hrs a day at the most. Some days she won't go because I don't plan on seeing clients daily.
