Yes Kris. I take it every night. I've also been takin tryptophan which worked great for a week and then quit working at all. Next I tried 5 HTP which made things worse. ( restless legs). Currently I'm trying Magnesium supplements, yesterday was my first day trying that.
The "natural" sleeping pill I had already been taking had melatonin in it, and I didn't realize it. But I bought straight melatonin and that's what I use now. Although it doesn't work.
Nope. What does a sleep study do when you lay there awake all night? I've only had this serious insomnia for maybe 3 months. Otherwise it was only occasional and would coincide with bad bouts of rls. I'll be seeing a doctor soon enough assuming the magnesium doesn't work, and I'll ask about a study.
I feel so bad for you Nichole have you seen a chiropractor yet? They can help with the restless leg problem too, though I'm sure you have it because you are overtired. That's when it bothers me, when I'm tired but can't sleep. I bet a chiro could help though...it did me!
I had the doctor call me yesterday with my day 3 results...and they were normal. Now, I'm sure that is good news in the scheme of things but I am SUPER confused now. They ran a panel of like 9 tests, and I know they tested my thyroid. They will be calling back shortly with my day 21 results, which are only progesterone. I know i didn't ovulate, or at least my temps and opk's indicate that I didn't. So, I'll see what they are.
I"m at a loss...I forgot about the chiropractor Trish...and I'm not super stoked about accupuncture..but I am going to go see a naturpath and see what they say.
BUT....today is day three of magnesium, and last night I got some sleep from about 4:30-9...so today feels great. Maybe it's working.
