Liam woke up last night about 45 minutes after we put him to bed. He fell asleep in my arms and was there for about an hour before we laid him down. He fell asleep in my arms around 9:30pm.

He woke up screaming and didn't want to stop crying. He started breathing funny and we called ped. Ped said bring him to ER if he is having breathing issues.

David went to get MIL and Liam started to act normal with bouts of crying and saying, "Hurt!" MIL stayed with Ryan as we took a calmer Liam to Kroger to see if he just needed to walk around or go to ER. Liam was calm and fine until we walked back in the door at home. He kept crying and refusing food or drink. We finally got milk with Motrin in him and he went to sleep around 2am. He continued to breathe funny while sleeping and we propped him up and the breathing got better.

He woke up this morning burping and crying, so off to the ped we went. Liam had indegestion from eating spaghetti sauce at 9pm and an ear infection. Poor guy! We now have 2 RXs for him. He has been running a fever of 101 today, so he will also be getting Motrin. He just woke up from a nap and is asking for TV shows. Good sign! He seems to get an ear infection every year.

David and I went and got flu shots also.

Awww... poor little man It's so sad when they are sick because they still can't communicate clearly what hurts and why. Good thing you guys got the flu shots, too!

Thanks! Liam is allergic to eggs, so he can not get a flu shot.

Poor guy! It can be so worrisome when you can't figure out what is wrong with the little ones. Luckily most ear infections respond quickly to meds, so I bet he's on the mend soon.

He has had 24 hours of antibotics and is a different person.

That's great! Just make sure you remember to give him all the medicine, so another infection doesn't flare up! It's hard to remember once they don't seem sick anymore!

We've had more than our fair share of ear infections in this house, I really despise them!

I will keep giving Liam his meds. I am glad he is healing. I had lots of ear infections as a kid. Ryan has had one in his 5 years. This is Liam's 2nd ear infection. His last on was in December 2011.

That's not bad at all, especially considering you had a lot of them as a kid! My oldest has only had 4 in 7.5 years, but my younger 2 had dozens of them. Tubes fixed them up though!

Glad to hear he is doing so much better!
