Thanks for the pics Shannon!

I thought "Gus" was a dog!! loool..the angle of the pic i guess!

I'll keep guinea pigs as an option then. I still don't feel ready for i and i dont think J is either but I wanted to know more about what the right pet would be because we've been in so many pet stores and I feel like I'm always tempted to grab an animal right there and then lol

He was a long haired guinea pig. He did sorta look like a yorkie lol

The other day lily and I watched Cinderella for the first time and I was shocked to realize the nice were named jack and gus... Never noticed the pigs had the same names before haha

I hate guinea pigs! The noise they make freaks me out!!

Nicole!! You should look into a poodle or a poodle mix of some sort...there are several breeds that are non-shedders. Our poodle, "Peedle", is so amazing with Savannah and doesn't shed.

^ LOL...they can be noisy, especially when the refrigerator opens. But...my older sister's kids have two, and they brought them when they came to visit for Christmas. To be honest, I didn't know they'd brought them until 3 or 4 days into their stay. I never heard a peep!

Have you ever thought about a Bunny? I don't personally have one, but they seem like they would fit what you were looking for.

^^Cathet, welcome. We used to have a bunny and he was not the prime pet -- he intentionally kicked his poop (live-action-as-he-pooped) out of his cage onto the floor. He was not a friendly bunny but clawed and kicked anyone who tried to hold him. Ugh, and the smell! Pew-yew! No thanks.

Would you like to do an intro thread so we can get to know you? If you have already done one I'm sorry I missed it.
