If your LO is in a MDO program or preschool... Can you tell me more about the cost and how many days/hours?

I need to start looking into this for Lily but I'm cheap so I've been putting it off lol

The preschool Chase will start in the fall is through the parks & rec.
It'll be MWF, 930-12 and runs the school year. It's $135 a month. Our previous preschool was through a church and the 3's program was 2 days a week (same hours)and $90 a month, however you had to rotate through & work in the class, which is a PITA if you have other small children.

This is the first year our preschool offers 2, 3, 4, or 5 days...it used to be either 2 or 3 days. YOu can do as many days as you want 2-5. YOu can also add on a "bridge" day and that goes to 1:30pm and includes lunch---that is $80 extra a month. You can also do one day a week---but that is only for Mother's Day out and it's $80 a month and that is for kids that are 3 and under.

But....just the basics (9am-noon):

T/TH: $120 a month
M/W/F: $165 a month
M/T/W/TH/F: $300 a month

For Audrey, we pay $360 a month for 2 full days (they are open 630a to 630p) and they do 2.5 hours of preschool per day.

3 days a week would be $540 and 4/5 would be $680.

The twins did preschool and now pre-k in the school district and we pay $800 (it's $1,600 for both and we pay half) a month for 5 days with extended after hours from 230 to 6.

I dont have Trey enrolled right now, bc my mom is watching him.

But when he was enrolled, i was paying $135 a week for Trey. BUT we had what was called "wrap around care" which meant, he could be dropped off as early as 6:30AM, and picked up as late as 6:00PM. If your child was just coming for the pre-school hours, the rate would obviously be different, because thats just 4 hrs a day.

Since my mom is watching him right now, we will not be re-enrolling him in Pre-school until he is 4. The state of Florida pays for 4 hours of pre-k a day, for all children, not just low income children.

i just googled some preschools in our area - it seems the going rate for preschool, is $300-400 a month. That's just hrs 8/9-Noon (depending on the school), and 2-3 days a week, depending on your schedule (mwf, tth)

Oh my some of these prices made my head hurt. Dashaun's daycare has a preschool curriculum so he will just stay there until he starts school. I wouldn't be able to only do a few hours a day because then he would still need before and after care. The price just dropped because he his age so its $370 a month for all day care
