Molly Sims said she couldn't breastfeed because her baby was born with a tooth.

Do you think there is a big difference between BFing an infant with a tooth vs a baby with teeth?

Hmm...I don't think it would be a deal breaker. Plenty of people breastfeed babies/kids with teeth.

I dunno. I kept dreading bf'ing with teeth. I'm still amazed it never happened.

My dentists daughter was born with a tooth and his wife still breastfed her with no extra issues.

I breastfed Eli until he was 20 months so he had mouthful of teeth and he only occasionally scraped his teeth on me. I think one of my parents' friends' daughters was born with a couple of teeth. I don't know if she was breastfed though. I can imagine that it might be a bit painful if a brand new baby who is just learning to breastfeed has a tooth.

I don't think that it would be any different feeding a newborn with a tooth than feeding an older baby with teeth. It might take them a few days to figure out not to used the tooth though.

I don't think it'd be a big deal. A close friend had a baby born with a tooth & it had to be pulled.

Ehhh...I dont know for sure. Those first couple of weeks when i was getting her latch right were rough...without teeth. She has a mouth full of teeth now, but she knows what shes doing & my nipples had many months to toughen up.

I would probably still try. My sister was born with two and that was the weirdest thing because I had never heard of it before
