Does your LO wear hand me down clothing/shoes?

Where did you get it?

Do you or your DH/SO ever wear hand me down clothing?

DH doesn't simply because he's picky and men tend to wear their clothes to shreds lol. I have taken from SIL's donate pile. I LOVE hand me downs.

Lily was very lucky to get her first two years of clothes from a friend of mine, but they moved away. I had several friends send me packages of clothes for Emmett when I was pregnant. Both kids are coming into new sizes and need clothes. I was considering asking on FB if anyone has any they're going to donate to send them my way. You can't beat free and I love looking through the bags or boxes of new goodies!

Grace doesn't really have any hand me downs right now. We did get some things from a friend that she won't be able to wear for a long time. I don't have a problem with them, but we just don't really have anyone giving us things. This baby will definitely wear Grace's hand me downs.

I have a few maternity pieces that were given to me by a friend. That's about it as far as hand me downs fir DH or me.

DH has bought a couple of things at a thrift store before, but has never been offered/taken hand me downs in his adult life. My aunt and Mom have given me a few things over the years, but not really hand me downs... usually stuff they've bought that they ended up not liking.

Major doesn't wear hand me downs. I love to shop for him and I always shop during sales, so the clothes are super affordable. Plus, I have never been offered any hand me downs that I have liked. I think I would be more open to them if someone offered me clothing like the stuff I buy for him. The one hand me down item he has is a pair of PJ's that my BFF gave me.

I'm never offered hand-me-downs....but I"m always giving my clothes to my sister and mom.

Lucas' clothes are handed down to Jude.

I've bought the kids clothes from consignment stores/sales, garage sales etc. I have standard on used clothes and they have to look in excellent almost new condition.

My brothers have given DH a few things here and there and he'll wear them.

I grew up my entire childhood getting hand-me-downs and I actually liked it. That sounds weird, because you would think most kids wouldn't. So, because of that, second hand clothing has never bothered me.

I'm a big off-season shopper for the kids though, so I guess it's a good thing, because no one gives the kids hand-me-downs EVER.

I have no problem wearing HMD, my mom & bestie give me stuff sometimes. I don't think anyone has ever given DH anything.

My SIL gives me 5-6 HUGE bags of boys clothes every year. We are able to use 70% of the stuff----especially the jeans. The majority of the clothes are name brands that my nephew has gotten as gifts from the rest of the family. Old looking t-shirts I have the kids use as pj's.

Chase wears HMD from the other two but I do buy him a few new things each season, usually on clearance.

I give all the stuff Chase grows out of to my friend for her 2 yo. The minute he outgrows it, I get rid of it.

Does your LO wear hand me down clothing/shoes? Clothes yes. Shoes no...

Where did you get it? Thrift stores or other family members who have boys that have outgrown clothing.

Do you or your DH/SO ever wear hand me down clothing? Not really. DH wears his stuff till I have to throw it out because it's so holey. I don't just because I try to get brand new clothes so they last longer...

I don't really have anyone that gives me hand me downs, but I do buy from consingment shops from time to time. I have also bought hubby some clothes from them too.
My step sister gives us a big bag of clothes a few times a year and I usually use about 40 percent of them. Violet looooooves them, everytime she wears something from her she says "Makayla gave this to me"
I also loooooove to buy some of Violets clothes from a kids consingment shop and garage sales. I have gotten her some awesome stuff from them, brand new Stride Rite shoes, etc.

Eli does and Daryn used to. They have lots of cousins that give us stuff and I give Eli's stuff to their younger cousins. There are no girls younger than Daryn for about 12 years so too long to keep stuff around so we give her old clothes to the girl across the street. I love hand me downs. I take the stuff that I like and then I pass along the stuff that isn't to my taste. DH has worn hand me down work clothes from his brother because it's better to wear already worn out clothes to destroy working than to buy new stuff. I don't know anyone who's my size so hand me downs don't work for me but I would totally wear them if I could.

Izzy hasn't, but, most of my friends who have girls are younger than her. I do buy both new and used, so she's worn other people's clothes before. I'm like Meg though, I only buy used if it's in great shape. I take pride what she wears and I like to put her in super cute things.

Malachi has a lot! I have a lot of friends with older boys. I have clothes for him until he's 3, lol. Of course I'll still be shopping..but it's nice to have the basic's covered.

Neither or I really do. I'll take things from friends here or there, but that's not a frequent thing at all. I prefer to shop for myself.

Up until recently, most of Kelen's clothes were hand-me-downs from the nephew. My MIL had a ton of 0-2T stuff in her attic, but there wasn't much larger clothing. I don't know anyone my size, but I have a few of hubby's old clothes that he can't fit into anymore.

DH & I dont really wear hand-me-downs..but DH has a few items of clothes that my brother gave him (he lost some weight, so he gave away all of his "fat clothes"). I have given my niece some of my old "skinny" clothes that i'll never see myself being able to fit in again...and if by chance i DID get skinny enough to fit into those sizes again...i'd be buying all new clothes because i'd be so excited

My kids both wear hand-me-down clothing. I dont buy used, but i have co-workers & friends who have both girls and boys, so they pass me a good amount of hand-me-downs. probably 70% are really nice, 10% emd up being throw aways, and 20% are play clothes/PJs. Elizabeth sent me some of Bella's clothes for Olivia, when she was a baby...and they were really nice. Definitely looked like they'd never been worn. Some hand-me-downs are really nice...and i'd never turn them down.

No one has ever offered me hand me downs as an adult and unless its a close friend I probably wouldn't take them but I give clothes away to my sister, goodwill, and shelters

Dashaun had some as a baby from a coworker but I usually buy all of his clothes. Im a sales shopper so I love it. Plus, I like him dressed a certain way. He probably dresses better than me on most days

Connor had had a few hand me downs, but most of the people I know with kids had girls so we can't use their hand me downs.

Owen wears Connors hand me downs.

I sometimes get my sister's hand me downs. Most of the hand me downs in offered are too small though

I love hand me downs! Madison has gotten some from friends with girls a little older than her and I've gotten her stuff at yard sales.

DH and I don't wear hand me downs... My sister and I sometimes share or trade clothing pieces...does that count? lol

I love shopping for J and I try to buy her things on sale or off-season so I just can't justify buying used when sometimes brand new items are cheaper or same price (i.e. $1-$5 a piece).

I'm not completely opposed to hand me downs for J but they would have to be in really good condition and something that i like...
