Has your toddler surprised you with learning a new skill or some new words?

We are in a 'why' phase. He wants to know the answers to everything! I gotta say, sometimes it is hard to come up with stuff.

He has gotten really good at remembering his day. I lay with each of the kiddo's before they go to bed and we talk and E is doing good remembering the days events and the order they where in. Its cute some of the things he says and brings up. Like last night he said he kicked daddy out of bed so he could cuddle with ma.

She's been really big into "please" and "thank you" (and "no thank you please" as well). All of a sudden, she started drawing circles and telling me that they were circles. We've also entered the "WHY????" phase, so she's constantly asking me questions.

He started talking more like an older kid (longer sentences and full sentences). He started "helping" me, like he makes our beds with me, try to wash the dishes. Also he became very very naughty , like he knows what he can get away with. Also he listens , like when I tell him to wait in one place and not go anywhere while I go get something or need to do something quick, he stays in that one place.

I feel like he's always full of surprises, but I can't seem to think of anything specific right now

Layla is hilarious! She's always surprising us! The other day we were heading out and I was talking to Matthew and she said " come on, we don't have time for this" lol

Beau is so behind, but he just started to color. He is saying a lot of new words but not using them yet. I can prompt him to say candy but he won't use it on it's own. He is tossing around a lot more signs now, cookie being his favorite.

Grace just amazes me with her imaginative play. Could listen all day to her play! Her new thing is she will say back and forth to her dolls "are you serious?" It cracks me up for some reason?

Lots of new words and phrases and definitely longer sentences...boy she can talk your head off. I also love hearing her imaginative play....it cracks me up with the way her dolls interact with each other.

TBH, there hasn't been much quality time in the past week or so.

But at her tumbling class she is picking things up so quickly!

When someone gets home, she loves to say: (Name) you're back! in her excited voice.

He is a non stop chatter box, and more and more of it is actually understable.

I also can't get over how expressive he is with his face. I always thought Logan was expressive (and he is) but Gavin by far takes the cake.

I'll ditto the full on big boy conversations. I'm starting to come to terms with the fact he isn't a baby anymore just because of the way he can communicate and converse. It's amazing to see!

Also, he drew a picture of a face yesterday! Circle head, eyes, nose, mouth, hair! I was impressed!
