My FB post has me thinking...... We all work so incredibly hard doing what we do. We deserve a break! So here's the challenge: take an hour (or two or three or four or more!!!) for YOURSELF this upcoming weekend. Then, tell us what you did during your Mommy time.
Have coffee with a friend. Go to yoga. Buy a fabulous pair of shoes. Lock yourself in the bathroom and take a bubble bath. Heck, take a nap! But do something that's just FOR YOU!!!!!
This is an awesome idea. I actually just had a mini conference on Mother/Woman balance. We were also talking a lot about the balance and finding time for yourself, delegating, communicating, trusting our kids and tasks with others to get some time alone. Have fun ladies!
So, I went shoe shopping after the institute day on Friday (and bought a super cute pair of girly but sporty athletic shoes for summer).
I had a couple of hours to myself on Saturday while my mom was watching Betsy but my headache was so bad that just sitting there in Starbucks was painful. I ended up going back to the house and laid on the couch with an ice pack on my head.
So, I tried! Need to do this more often (without the headaches of course!)
