.....is he/she confined in a stroller/cart/wagon or do you let him/her walk next to you?

More likely than not, she's confined. She often gets held in parking lots because she refuses to hold hands and I typically have her and Lukas with me and he's already a wanderer so I need at least one of them confined.

When Nathan was our only though, he walked a lot. But it was much easier to keep an eye on one and he was very obedient and good about staying next to me.

Both. In the grocery store, he'll sit in the cart for a bit (in the big part where the groceries go) or in the "car cart" for a bit, but then he wants to walk. For walks, he'll sit in the double stroller but he likes to walk more. They all take turns

Both, If the girls are with me he will walk and they watch him. If I have him alone or just the boys they both are in the cart.

When we do our big grocery shopping trip he sit in the cart. We get him a juice box and bring some popcorn from home to keep him happy there. Any other time he usually walks unless it's a really crowded place and it just makes me nervous to have him walking because he's not big on holding hands.

Unless we're making a quick trip to the grocery or only going to the mall's play land, Betsy stays in a stroller or cart. Letting her walk during the quick trips is stressful enough!

Many times when we are at the zoo i will let him walk. I use that time as a way to teach him to stay with me. If he refuses to keep moving when we have to I tell him we will have to go home if he does not stay with mommy and that hurries him on up. If we are at a store or something I tend to keep him confined b/c there is just to much to mess with and I am usually there for a purpose and don't want to take forever to get out.

It depends on how he is behaving and what we are doing. He likes walking and we let him if it is safe enough.

Depends on our destination. If its a long trip (mall, zoo, ec) then hes definitely put in a stroller.

Ive got a runner.

He isn't a huge fan of the stroller, but some times it is necessary. Evan was a runner as well, and now walks patiently and happily with me. So...there is hope.

It completely depends on how he is behaving and what he wants. If he wants to walk, I almost always let him as long as he is listening and not getting into too much. If he becmes too much of a handful then he goes in the cart.

It depends on the trip, honestly. At the grocery store, he typically rides in the cart most of the time. Actually, he loves carts (especially car carts), so he rides in them whenever he can. Otherwise, we haven't had the stroller out since probably November. But part of that is the move. It was at the apartment and now it's burried. Plus, it's been too cold to go for long walks or to the zoo. Once it warms up, we'll probably get it back out and let him have the option to ride in it or not.

grocery store= sitting in top of cart
mall with mommy alone (and Logan) = stroller
mall with mommy and daddy = walking

we haven't been to many places like the zoo, park lately cus it is SO cold and we play outside for 2 hours at daycare. I would think in the summer we will take the stroller but not make him stay in it on day trips.

when we walk in the parking lot etc outside if I ask him to hold my hand cus I am scared I am going to fall on the ice. He happily to holds my hand that way

He usually rides in the cart, or stroller.

Wayne has been letting him walk holding hands if it is not busy.

Most of the time, Chase walks next to us. If we are going a long shopping day at the mall or something, I will bring the stroller. But he usually throws a tantrum about being in the stroller.
