Apparently, the third week of March is National Poison Prevention Week. SO...in honor of that:

Have you ever had to call a poison control center?

Do you have the number for Poison Help memorized? Is it posted for your DH or other caregivers/babysitters to easily find? Is it programmed into your cell phone?

If not, DO IT! 1-800-222-1222

I haven't had to call yet.

I have the number memorized, and the magnet with phone number on my refrigerator. I did go ahead and save it to my phone today, and sent it to DH for him to put on his phone, just in case.

The poison control center here is run by the college of pharmacy. They have a physician director and full time pharmacists, as well as senior pharmacy students on rotation. The main pharmacist is one of the smartest people I know, and that job would be super intimidating for me. I'm kind of glad I didn't have a rotation there. I did one across the hall in the drug info center...we did a lot of pill IDs for law enforcement, and gave drug info to healthcare professionals. Much less scary than poison control!

I have a magnet on the fridge.
I did call maybe 2 times... I am a crazy person and called once b/c I "thought" she may have gotten a swipe of laundry detergent. The other time was when I thought she may have gotten 2 doses of her iron supplement....
They were super nice and helpful!

I don't have the number anywhere and have never had to call. My BFF just called this morning cause she thinks her 2 y/o may have taken her anxiety pill.

I've called it multiple times because of Bryce. I have an App on my phone that I just have to open and click on to call.

I have the #in my phone.

I had to call twice when Owen was 1 but not for Rylan or Addison. I actually had to call twice in the same week with Owen, we were staying with family the week before we moved & their house was not baby proofed. First Derricks brother left his adhd meds open on the counter & Owen got a hold of one, then a week later someone left kitchen cleaning spray out & Owen grabbed it & sprayed it & I thought he got some in his mouth.
