We had Marek last week on march 21st. He is a real cutie and a very good baby
I am nursing which I really did not do with Drake. My only issue is at night so far. He does not want to sleep seperate from me even though he does all day. I am not really sure what to do. If he is not right on me all night he will not sleep but with him right on me I do not sleep LOL. Any advice on this issue is greatly appreciated He only eats for like 5 seconds and then just passes out on me. If i move him to his rock n play he will wake right up until I put him back on me.

Congratulations, Amy That sounds totally normal for sleeping at such a tiny age, to be honest. Even Max, who has refused to sleep with me since, loved being all snuggled up on my chest to sleep for the first couple weeks. My biggest advice would be to just be patient with him and give it a little more time.

Congrats!!! I wanna see some pics of this cutie patooty!!!

I think it is fairly common for newborns to sleep like this. As long as he's comfortable in the day in the R&P, you have good potential for transition in a couple of weeks. I co-slept with my kiddos, and the transition was often a little taxing (we're transition Kerris now, she sleeps/slept with us far longer than the others).

Congratulatioins!! Do you mind sleeping with him on you. If not, let it be until he is ok to let go of you if you mind, you could try swaddling.

Congrats!!!! Any pictures to share?
Gabriel wanted to sleep on my chest all night too or else he wouldnt sleep. The only thing we found that worked was to wrap him in the swaddle blankets super tight. I guess it made him feel more secure and like he was still in our arms

I don't mind him being on me i just get worried b/c they make such a big deal of no co sleeping at the hospital and I just start worrying about him falling off of me or something. We have been layinng on the couch the last couple of nights though and I just go to sleep with him nursing and leave out the footrest of the recliner on the couch and put a pillow on the ground LOL. So far he stays right in place.

Awwww, he is a beauty!!!!

Congrats. I do remember having to swaddle both my babies super tight at night. I let them nap on me a lot during this newborn stage.

He's so adorable! Congrats!

During the first few weeks, I'd let her sleep on me. I was stuck on the couch downstairs because of the c-section, so I made us a little nest and she'd sleep there. Enjoy the newborn snuggles!!!!!

Congrats Amy! LOVE his name! WTG on nursing! I was also going to suggest swaddling to see if that would help him sleep. Or you could also try more contact during the day-maybe a nap laying on you and see if that lessens his need to be with you at night.

How is Drake doing with the transition?

Drake seems totally fine with him but he has been throwing some major temper tantrums. As of yesterday they are getting a bit better. The other night he screamed for 2 hours before going to sleep. And I mean SCREAMED. He has been so relaxed and cool for the last few months that I am trying really hard to not let it get to me as he seems to just have trouble with change and he is so intense that it makes it extra hard on us when he does go through stuff like this. I have hope it is ending though
I am going to get a swaddler today as when I use blankets I just can't get it tight enough. I am going to try the swaddle b/c as of now he passes clean out on me but then can't handle being laid down LOL. Still only happens at night. Otherwise he is a great little guy!
