I like Mila. I don't like Margaret or Laura but I know Laura is her moms name and I'm guessing Margaret is a family name too. So for that reason, it's not horrible.

Where did Mila come from? Is it a nickname or is it part of her first name?
Margaret and Laura sound too traditional and old school for me personally... Mila is nice.

Is it pronounced Me-la or My-la? I've heard it both ways.

I really don't care for any of it, but it's not terrible.

LOVE Mila! It was on our girl short list. We pronounce it Mee-La. It's nice to honour family, but I don't really get Mila from those names, aside from the letters.

Addisons middle name is Margaret after my grandma who I was very close with but I wouldn't use it for a first name. Laura is OK but not something I'd use. I think Mila is cute

I think the nickname might not necessarily be a derivative of the given names. I have an aunt Lois Rannveig and her nickname is Dodi. My Amma (grandmother in Iceland) had a childhood friend named Dodi so she nicknamed her eldest daughter Dodi. We now call her Aunty Dode.
