Yeah def wouldn't be on my priority list. I can see it hanging on the baby nursery door at home...but a hospital door or house front door...umm a bit too much (and tacky)?

It would be an ok gift for a new mom/baby shower but I wouldn't buy it myself and definately not for $75.

If I received one as a gift I would hang it on the nursery door. I would never buy one or make one myself.

I have never seen one of these even in the L&D unit at the hospital here. Maybe it really is a southern thing?

$75 seems like a lot of money. I can think if a lot if other ways to spend that money besides a wreath.

its definitely a southern thing. we do wreaths for EVERYTHING.

hold on, i'll link a FB page of a friend from school who now has a "business" making wreaths for every occassion. lolhttps://www.facebook.com/ExquisiteEl...ref=ts&fref=ts

(i did have a door hangy thing at the hospital, though. wasnt a wreath, but it like a big ribbon thing...with a baby on it...and it had Olivia's name, weight and length...are those not common anywhere else, either?)

I've never heard of it! I do remember some mom having some decorations hanging on her hospital door in 2005 and it surprised me. My cousins in TX would totally do this....and they are over the top and need a custom cake for even the smallest event.

I live in the South and I think it's silly. I'll have to remember to look and see if anyone else has one when I go to the hospital.

I haven't seen those but they don't surprise me. It wouldn't be a "must have" for me and I certainly wouldn't spend $75 but I would have happily used it as a gift. I may even consider making one for someone else, lol

Lol wellllll...then telling yoi they come standard in our hospital might knock your socks off. The hospital provides door hangers that say "Its A Boy!" (Or girl) with their details automatically And then in the gift shop, people can buy more elaborate door hangers ....like my mom bought me (or, my door, rather) for Olivia.

It.was.hideous. I'll attach a pic in a minute. So tacky. As soon as I got home, I stuffed it in her "keepsakes" box.

I don't know that I consider texas as the south. Am I wrong for that, too? Lol
