We have a ceiling fan, no a/c, so when it is warmer here (late July/Aug), the fans are rolling We don't have a box fan (well, we do have 1 in the kids room).

We actually use the ceiling fan in winter, too, because when it's rotating the other way, it pushes the heat off of the ceiling and back into the room.

DH and I are over the top....we have a separate AC unit just for our bedroom because we like it COLD in there. The kind of cold that makes you scared to get out of bed We keep the ceiling fan on in the living room all day though.

We keep the ceiling fan on in both bedrooms during the warmer months. I wish we had a separate AC unit for our bedroom!

No fan. We just have the AC on throughout the summer. We only have a few warm months here ... seems like it is going to be even shorter this year

Ceiling fans I'd get box fans too and keep windows open and no AC on, but DH won't hear of it. And he's awful about turning the AC on and leaving all the windows open, so, since I don't want to try to cool off the entire town, I have just been leaving the windows closed.

We don't have ceiling fans in this house. I will use stand fans but the noise drives me batty. I hope to get AC put in soon, Rob just needs his friend to come over to install it.
Dh likes fans, AC anything to make him cooler, he is so always hot

John has to sleep with a small fan running every night. It is small and pointed in the opposite direction of the bed, so I am fine with it. I actually have found the noise comforting over the years. During the warmer months we'll sleep with the ceiling fan on as well to push the air around.

Ditto! I never had a fan til I met AJ. He has a small bedside one and now I NEED it to sleep!

We sleep with the ceiling fan on.... We ask the kids if they want their ceiling fans on or off and that is how they sleep based on their decision.

Our ceiling fan is almost always on, including in the winter. We have A/C, but during the warmest months, we also have a pedestal fan that we turn on because our master bedroom is in the back of our house which is south facing. I can't wait for summer to be over!
