I'm not sure how to answer. We have overcome SO much, and in so many ways, things are great. But we have our struggles as well. Add in DH's often crazy work schedule and a couple of kids...I think we're doing pretty well, all things considered, but we are nowhere near perfect.

I voted 8. Things are near perfect with 2 tiny details. The first is we yell first, calm down and discuss later. I would like to avoid the yelling. It doesn't happen very often but, still. The second issue is I don't think he always has my back in public situations. I work for the government AND I'm a union rep and some people have a really hard time with those things and I've been attacked a few times by people who don't even know me in public. DH is the peacekeeper type of person and likes to diffuse the situation by stroking THEIR egos to calm things down. He really likes people to get along. The only problem is, I think sometimes people need to be told to go to he** and get off my back in a social situation - call me during business hours and we'll talk, kwim?
I voted a 5. Things between us are pretty good, but the low mark is because we hardly spend any time together (he works a ton and the 2 kids keep us busy). Also, we co-sleep with Kai, so intimacy is lacking! I know things will go back to normal, but we're both exhausted right now. He worked 118 hours over the last 2 weeks, lol.
