I know the wives tale is if the hb is 140 and under it's a boy and around 150 and higher is girl....but of course there is no study to prove this and both my DD and DS had the same hb's at the same stages of pregnancy...anywho I found a chart that shows the average hb's of boys and girls at each week of pregnancy..kinda neat...they are pretty much the same

totally even huh??? Mine was 176 on the dot every time until about 12 weeks. Then it dropped to 160s. Sometimes it's 150s (when she's sleeping) but most of the time 160s

How neat! My boys were both around 150's most of the time and this baby has only been in the 160's. So the higher heartrate/girl theory wasnt true for me.

I have a lot of people (L&D and NICU nurse friends) who ask what kind of HR I get with my doppler.......and they always say in one way or another "she's" doing good. I usually get HR of 160's. I'm still totally on the fence......and just don't care either way. But I will be excited to know if I'll be buying frilly clothes or rough and tumble clothes :-)

That is pretty neat. Emily & Joshua's heartbeats were the same at the same stages of pregnancy and it looks like this baby is following suit.

I have seen this chart before myself I totally believe it is definitely a wives tale.

I found this chart when I was googling! I have heard that the heart rate is really only dependent on how active the baby is being at the time.

This baby's HB seems to range between 140s and 150s, so i have no idea!
