Since several of our members are in a funk, I thought it would be great to each list 5-10 things that pull you out of a funk when you're down.

1. vacation, or just getting away for a few days
2. a new project - painting a room, doing something festive on my mantle, rearranging a room, etc
3. doing a fun photoshoot with my kids
4. shopping
5. getting my house TOTALLY spotless
6. going on a date with dh
7. sewing something super cute
8. writing out a plan for the future..."in the next 18mo I want to..."
9. planning Christmas
10. researching something new I am interested in but know little about

smelling one of my favorite scents.

splurging on new shoes or new clothes.

just getting out of town occasionally. I think a change of scenery makes a big difference every now and then.

1: buying a magazine at the check out line even if its one of those higher priced ones
2: bubble bath
3: macaroni and cheese
4: sleeping on fresh new sheets (I swear this is curative)
5: manicure/pedicure
6: watching america's funniest home videos
7: playing any fun board game with your family
8: Getting all dolled up even if you aren't going anywhere important. Sometimes you just feel better when you look better.
9: breakfast in bed-preferably before the new sheets are on
10: 15 minutes of yoga-I dare anyone to not feel somewhat better after that

ohhh I love new candles! That should be on the list too! Light some yummy candles is totally a way out of a funk for me.

Ahh I forgot about a lot of these that do the trick for me too like sitting outside in the fall and just breathing that yummy crisp air. And hearing dh laugh (LOVE that), especially while watching a funny movie with him. Splurging on a magazine and then sinking in it for a few hours outside on the porch swing.

And getting all layered up for FOOTBALL season.

1. Reading my Bible, which I do not do often enough.
2. Hanging out with my hottie husband after the kids are in bed. I LOVE this time. I love his laugh too, so infectious. It's like the most beautiful sounds, you girls are so right!
3. Hot shower with LOUD music. Usually screamy loud music. I Skillet.
4. Watching my monsters play together.
5. Getting online.

Shaving my legs and putting on a nice smelling body lotion.
Giving myself a mani/pedi.
Doing my hair and makeup.
Watching a sappy romance movie (for some reason, the crying helps, lol).
Sinking into one of my favorite books that I've read so many times I nearly have it memorized.
Having some "me" time, whatever it happens to be.
Watching funny cat videos (lol, I'm a nut)

Yes that! I can't wait for fall this year!

And:
1) Listening to some good music
2) Watching America's Funniest Home Videos with my family - we all get into it laughing - even Joshua - and you can't be in a bad mood around that.
3) Calling one of my two closest friends
4) Reading my Bible and taking time to pray & count my blessings
5) Sitting outside with a good book and watching my children play together
6) Paging through a new Yankee candles catalog, even though I promised to be good!
7) Planning my shopping agenda for another visit to the outlet stores which are just a few minutes away
8) Coming online here and "talking" to you girls!
