So, lol I leaned back (while standing) the other day and my belly looked totally weird!!! It's like when I lean backwards I have this "hump" in the middle of my stomach, kwim? It's never done that before so I'm assuming it's pregnancy related. Does your stomach do the same? What causes it? It looks kinda weird!

I have this, but I don't think it's just when I'm leaning weird, lol. I just figured it was because the baby was pushing up on my stomach and all my organs, so they kind of bulge out, too.

i think i figured it out, i think it's a condition called diastasis recti which is when the abdominal muscles separate. weird, should i be having this with my first pregnancy? lol but i must admit, i have no abs what-so-ever.
anyone know anything about this?

^ That's what I was going to say it was. Your abs are probably already separating to make room for everything. Mine look like that too, but this is baby #4 for me.

My tummy does that and it's definitely ab separation. I'm surprised it's happened already for you, but it's not uncommon. Mine is so bad it's half way across my tummy. Ds2 was so big, it just wrecked my abs! Not that they were great before that though. It's really nothing to worry about - after the baby comes, your doctor can give you some exercises that will help the muscles go back to normal. Only severe cases (unfortunately mine) need surgery later on.

Yep happens to me too because my abs are separated. Looks so weird doesn't it? Further along in the pregnancy I could see detailed body parts in that thinner area...it was wild. lol I could almost count every toe.
