So a distant cousin just had a baby girl and she named her baby Violet after one of her favorite characters from a childhood book series she loved: "The Boxcar Children."
Neat idea, huh?
So I'm stumped on baby girl names (we won't find out sex until 27th) and I thought hmm... as a child I also loved to read... and my FAVORITE series ever was the "Anne of Green Gables" one.
I am wondering if any of you have heard of any variations of Anne... as Anne alone doesn't sound right with our last name.
However, I am convinced it's a BABY BOY since yesterday's heartbeat was 149. We shall see soon enough.
THANKS for any input and suggestions!

I love Annisa! It's so pretty. Do you say it Ann-EE-Sah or Ah-NISS-Ah?
Beautiful either way!
I had an Anabelle in my class once.. she's was a sweet little girl whose hair was always perfectly done when she arrived at class and was all pulled down and a mess by dismissal.. haha!
Good suggestions! THANKS.

We pronounce it Ah-NISS-Ah but tons of people say Ann-EE-sah! I think because she has a hispanic last name so they just go with it lol. I think most girls hair is all pretty and neat at the beginning of the day and a mess at the end. You should have seen Annissa's after coming home from a 3 day girl scout camp! WOAH! lol! I just realized you teach 3rd grade...thats the grade Annissa's in
Oh cool! How does she like 3rd grade? I find it to be a HUGE jump from 2nd... which I have taught for the past 3 years... lots more vocabulary. I hope she is doing well. Let me know if you need any help w/ projects.

My second DD was almost Annabelle. I still like that name. Annemarie or Annamarie, Annette, Annaliese, Annika, Annie, Anita, Annalie...these all have so many spelling options. lol Good luck!
I just have to say, I love annabelle! it's on our list of girls names if this baby is a girl We will most definitely go with april as a middle name if this baby is a girl after my husband's sister who passed away in May. So we were thinking allison april or annabelle april....and I LOVE annabelle because you can call her anna or belle and I love them both Such cute options with anna! Good luck with your decision!
