HOw do you all deal with your nerves? This part of pregnancy is so delicate and scary, and while I have a generally good feeling about this pregnancy, I also know how common miscarriage is, so there is just a constant worry for me. I just wish we could see the hearbeat NOW!!!

ETA: I am just trying to keep reminding myself that a healthy pregnancy is more common than a miscarriage.

I've experienced two losses, my 1st pregnancy and my 4th (my DD was my 2nd pregnancy and my DS was my 3rd). I am a little nervous about it, but trying my best to stay positive and as relaxed as possible. This will be SO's first, and our first together...and I know we'd just be absolutely devastated if something bad were to happen. Just trying not to think about it and keeping fingers crossed!!!

I think it's almost impossible not to think about. I have to be honest that I look for spotting EVERYTIME I go to the bathroom. I know I shouldn't and that it just stresses me out, but I've read to many sad stories. I've told myself that I will NOT be doing that anymore!
I think that the can be the downside of message boards!
But like you said, it's important to remember how many healthy pregnancies occur too! The thing I've been doing is praying a lot and just trying to relax. I know that God will take care of me and baby and will see us through anything! I've been praying for all of you ladies too!

I pray a lot too. I know that God knows the desires in my heart and whatever will happen, will happen. I, too, look for spotting constantly and with the increase in CM, I always think that is what I will find. My AF isn't even due until tomorrow, so I think once that day passes, I will be able to relax a LITTLE.

Me too! I can't help it. I miscarried in June after trying for #2 for 2.5 years, so that was really hard. This time around I want to be excited, but it's hard right now because we don't want to be so hurt again. So I think we will finally allow ourselves to feel excited when we get past the point that I miscarried last time. I was only 5 weeks along, so hopefully we can feel some reassurance soon.

I hear you. I had a m/c at almost 3 months along in May. I saw heartbeat TWICE on 2 different ultrasounds. I thought I was out of the woods, but I guess not. So I definitely am VERY nervous this time.

Also, I hemmorhaged in the hospital for 6 hours before they took me for a D&C. I didnt get a transfusion although I was supposed to, so I had a lot of blood loss and I couldn't get out of bed for days.

This is my first, and I have to admit that I am very nervous too. It was our first month TTC, and I have no problems or anything.. But for some reason I am so anxious to hear the heartbeat just to know everything is ok. We had thought about waiting until the ultrasound to tell everyone, but that won't be for 2-3 more weeks. DH just couldn't hold it in! We told family today. I keep reminding myself that m/c aren't as common as healthy pregnancies, but it worries me... glad to know I'm not alone..

I have the nerves too! I've been anxious all day and keep checking for spotting because of the CM. This is #3 for me so you'd think I wouldn't be nervous!
I've also been praying a lot and just trying to relax.

I want to let you ladies that after first happy and healthy pregnancy I experienced devastating M/c in Feb 2010. I never thought this can happen to me, because with my first pregnancy I traveled for continues 36 hrs in my first and third trimester and I was all fine while second time I was staying home moma I was so shattered but then I again conceived in March and now I am in my 28th week and my baby is due in december 2010. So be postive and pray to God for a safe pregnancy. My prayers are with all of you.
